The Avenue is perfectly located 3 mins walk from the delightful town centre of Bakewell with a good selection of bars and restaurants and local bus services very close by.The property was spotlessly clean and very warm and welcoming and very quiet at nights despite being situated on the A6.Sarah the proprietor was an excellent and helpful host and provided a lovely breakfast of delicious locally sourced ingredients and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again !.

The Bull's Head exceeded all my expectations. It was the perfect mix of heritage/character and contemporary as it was recently entirely redone. For me, it was exactly what I wanted for my solo trip to the Peak District - really cozy and quaint, but new and fresh and clean. My room (#3) was darling - corner unit with 2 windows and great views, warm, and very charming country aesthetic. The minimal traffic and pub noise didn't bug bother me at all, the bed was comfortable, and plenty of complimentary tea/coffee/hot chocolate in the room. The continental breakfast was just right (Canadians, note that it is cold items only). The staff was friendly and lent me a very handy umbrella for my few days. I had one meal in the pub which I enjoyed, which was also cute with the fireplaces.

The lovely rooms were decorated with attention to detail and comfort and conducive to a restful and peaceful sleep. Very much enjoyed our stay.

The location was an excellent starting point for hiking.

The George Inn in Castleton provides adults-only accommodation with a restaurant, a bar and a terrace. The accommodation offers evening entertainment and free WiFi throughout the property. Excellent in all respects. Nice room including a FRIDGE. Nice pub below, serving good food and every member of staff was excellent in c.s.. Especially Jess.
