Large East Side Room above G Grace & Son is situated in Tring, 27 km from Watford Junction, 29 km from Woburn Abbey, and 30 km from Bletchley Park. The apartment was lovely and modern and in a great location. There was a slight hiccup at check-in but Jordan and his team leapt into action and solved the problem within minutes, very courteous and apologetic and really helpful. Never judge someone on a problem, judge them on how they put it right, and I couldn't fault them. Would book again without a second thought.

In the pretty Hertfordshire village of Wadesmill, this beautifully preserved 17th-century coaching inn combines modern comforts with original features. The receptionist Zoe was wonderful, helpful and very friendly. The housekeeping was very kind and polite and tended to any needs we had. Would love to return.

Midway, a property with a terrace, is set in Garston, 16 km from Stanmore, 16 km from Edgware, as well as 18 km from Hatfield House. This lovely 2 bed garden room, with shared bathroom, was a perfect solution for us so that our children had their own room, but adjacent to us and safe. The rooms are exactly as per the photos and have a mini fridge, microwave, kettle and some crockery. The bathroom is compact but absolutely fine for an overnight stay, with a good shower. Sally was a wonderful host and was really quick to respond to queries. We would happily stay again. Thanks for having us!

The Studio Hatfield, a property with a garden, is located in Hatfield, 2.9 km from Hatfield House, 17 km from Cockfosters, as well as 18 km from Knebworth House. Location was ideal for Hatfield house and Galleria shopping centre. Garden room was great with everything we needed. Room was clean and tidy thanks :-)

Situated in Harpenden, a 10-minute drive from Luton Airport, The Old Cock Inn features free WiFi. The M1 is a short drive away and offers access to central London in less than an hour. The rooms were fabulous so clean and probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in when traveling, the bathroom was amazing modern clean and the bath and shower had loads of hot water and great water pressure.
