I loved that it is such a historic building. It has really interesting woodwork and 300+ year old sketches and poems on the wall. It feels like getting to stay in a part of history.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Gyves House is an AA 4-star gold rated Victorian house situated just 30 yards from the Eastbourne seafront. Wonderful! Possibly the nicest place I have ever stayed, everything that you could possibly want in a seaside hotel. Welcoming and kind hosts, lovely comfortable room, delicious breakfast. Recommend 100%.

Charming hotel, amazing stuff, very clean room, tasty, NOT overpriced food in a restaurant downstairs, fantastic breakfast - chef prepared whatever we asked for: English breakfast, salad, scrumbled eggs etc., no problem with space on the parkinglot.
