You are welcomed and given a personal tour of the property which is a really helpful orientation. The cabins are very well designed and don’t overlook each other. There’s good hot water and lovely products. Breakfast is wonderful taken on the terrace with stunning birds eating off the carefully positioned bird tables. You can walk around the grounds bird spotting. There’s a lovely jacuzzi and small pool to cool off in. These are kept very clean. The hosts are around making sure you have everything you need to make the most of your stay. We used guides from Bijagua Tours for bird walks and they transformed the local area for us. Without them we would have seen some lovely birds but with them our knowledge and sighting of the local birds was transformed. We were really sorry to leave. I’m almost certain you will be too!

It was comfortable clean and quiet and convenient for the airport -but best of all the family were so welcoming and helpful - I was really touched by their kindness. They went above and beyond what they needed to do to make my stay good . I joined them for a BBQ and they helped me by being able to purchase transport to the airport and breakfast which made things very easy - and went out of their way to help me find an ATM .

I travel a lot and spend a long time away from home, so cleanliness, comfort, and beauty around me are very important. I found all of this at La Tigra Mountain House. The beds are wide, the mattresses are comfortable. The hostess of the house is very attentive and caring. And I would like to highlight the view separately. It's fantastic!!! The Platanar and Porvenir volcanoes are visible as if in the palm of your hand. Sunrises, clouds running at eye level, and hovering birds attract and compel you to stop and enjoy life. In the morning, I tried to exercise, but it smoothly transitioned into meditation... As they say, it's better to see once than hear a hundred times!! Come and see for yourself. I recommend it...

Johana was extremely friendly, great location away from the tourist activities of La Fortuna.

Located around 40 km from Parque Viva, the inn is also 43 km away from Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium. Each room comes with a patio with views of the garden. This such a hidden gem! The farm is absolutely beautiful and came as a surprise. This was our first stop out of San Jose and I really recommend it. We visited Poas, Catarata del Toro and the Blue Falls before checking in for the night at a lovely cottage. The owner is just lovely and so friendly. We had dinner at the restaurant at the farm - delicious and fresh! We slept like babies in the super comfy bed and in the morning we enjoyed drinking coffee grown at the farm whilst watching hummingbirds feed. The breakfast was delicious and in a beautiful setting with the view of the valley. Absolutely magical.
