Stayed here two nights and it was a perfect relaxing spot. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed in the small kitchen. The bed is comfortable with good quality sheets and blankets. There is a TV with Netflix for the evenings and the wifi works well. AC is cool and shower is hot. The grounds are beautiful and the small pool was refreshing. The weather was cloudy most of the time we stayed but we did get a quick peek of the volcano. It’s RIGHT THERE. What a beautiful view! I spent a lot of time reading on the small terrace and bird watching. It is a bit out of La Fortuna, but we had a rental car and it was nice to stay away from the hustle and bustle.

Located in Rio Celeste, 44 km from Venado Caves, Posada Rural Río Celeste provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a restaurant. The property was well maintained and very beautiful. The rooms very clean and comfortable. They only serve breakfast and as it is a little far from restaurants. A small supermarket is close by. Our cabin had an outdoor kitchen so we were able to make some dinner there. In the morning we could hear the hauler monkeys from our big patio. All in all it was a great stay.

This is a special place lovingly and professional looked after by its owners. You can sense their care for the place the moment you arrive. The grounds near the buildings are beautifully maintained and then merge seamlessly into the natural rain forest around it. You are welcomed and given a personal tour of the property which is a really helpful orientation. The cabins are very well designed and don’t overlook each other. There’s good hot water and lovely products. Breakfast is wonderful taken on the terrace with stunning birds eating off the carefully positioned bird tables. You can walk around the grounds bird spotting. There’s a lovely jacuzzi and small pool to cool off in. These are kept very clean. The hosts are around making sure you have everything you need to make the most of your stay. We used guides from Bijagua Tours for bird walks and they transformed the local area for us. Without them we would have seen some lovely birds but with them our knowledge and sighting of the local birds was transformed. We were really sorry to leave. I’m almost certain you will be too!

Offering a garden and garden view, SJO Green Casita is located in Río Segundo, 5.9 km from Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium and 11 km from Parque Viva. Very clean and confy to stay. The owner is very nice. He even wait outside the property with my partner to be sure she get in her Uber safe.

Situated in Río Segundo, Airport Green Studio is a recently renovated accommodation, 35 km from Poas National Park and 5.9 km from Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium. Thomas is an amazing host and the property is very beautiful and well maintained. Thomas will go extra mile to tend to guests needs and his father dropped me at the airport at 3.30 am in the morning for a nominal charge. The place is secure and pristine. Highly recommended if you want to crash one night here before your flight.

Quiet, clean, familial. Johana was extremely friendly, great location away from the tourist activities of La Fortuna.
