I liked the location and I enjoyed staying in a room that had lots of history. It was easy to walk around the city, with many shops and interesting historical sites to see.

Pingyao Jiaxin Guesthouse features rooms with traditional Chinese-style decoration. It is only a 4-minute walk from Pingyao Railway Station. Free WiFi is accessible in all areas. The place was amazing for the cheap value. The breakfast was great and the room was really comfortable. The staff so kind and pendent all the time, they help me to reach the train station.

Offering Chinese and Western food on site, Pingyao Harmony Hotel features well-decorated guestrooms and simple dormitory rooms for guests. The staff is exceptional, their english is great. We had lunch and breakfast there, both were delicious.

Just next to Xietongqing Unincorporated Bank Museum, Pingyao Baichanghong Hotel is a paper-cut-themed guest house located right in the heart of Pingyao County, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Beautiful accommodation at the centre of ancient city of Pingyao in the bustling South Street. The owner and staff are very friendly, warm and helpful. They picked us up from the station and brought us to Ancient City (cars are not allowed inside) and also brought us on the day of departure, both for very reasonable fees, because we were with 5, too many for a taxi. The hotel and rooms were in a traditional style, allowing for great pictures.The beds and cushions were very comfortable for us. The bathroom and toilet are combined in a small room, but it wasn't bothersome.The owner knows the nearby shops and good spots to go to, definitely ask for tips. We enjoyed our 2 nights and 3 days in Pingyao a lot, definitely recommended.

Housed in a 400-year-old courtyard built in Qing Dynasty, Pingyao Jintaisheng Hotel used to be the only flour factory in Pingyao Ancient City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, at the end of Qing Dynasty.... Located on a quiet street, this gem of a hotel is like stepping into history. The courtyards and rooms look like the must have been hundreds of years ago. Rooms are very clean and discreetly fitted with modern amenities. Staff speak passable to good English.
