It features a restaurant with a summer terrace, serving Swiss and international cuisine. The restaurant is closed on Monday evenings, on Tuesdays and on Wednesdays. Better than expected. Trails nearby. Easy parking. Room was very comfortable and updated. During the summer, it was nice to have a fan in the room. We had a great dinner on one night. The host and staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would gladly stay here again.

It offers free Wi-Fi and wired internet access, a breakfast buffet, and a charging station for electric car. Very authentic house with some rooms originally decorated. Extremely friendly and helpful host. We felt welcomed dearly, on a personal level!

The cosy, wood-panelled rooms at the Waldgasthaus Lehmen all have a modern bathroom. We stayed 2 nights beginning of June. If you like traditional places, you should visit Waldgasthaus Lehmen. You would be surrounded by natural forest with a view on Appenzell Alps. One of the most common sound during the day is various bells on cow necks. We were lucky to see how Appenzell farmers bring their cows to the mountains. The farmers have very beautiful cloths! On Saturday we saw a group of farmers, who came in their traditional dresses to Lehmen restaurant and had a few hours of singing and enjoying food. The restaurant is very good, if you like Swiss food. You must be hiking in that region, otherwise food might be too heavy. I had pork steak, pork schnitzel and beef steak with noodles and mushrooms. All dishes were very tasty. You have to try local beer! And Lehmen whisky! Highly recommended! Very nice! Service is impeccable, fast and attentive. All personnel is very friendly. Breakfast is wonderful! I would prefer, if it started at 7 instead of 8… Our room 17 was great, soft pillows, comfy beds, bath, simple but cozy design. The hotel has a playground for kids. Parking is huge.

Hotel Vadian Garni is set in 2 separate historic buildings, with the hotel dating back to 1904 and the annex to the 16th century, this 2-star-superior hotel is located in the old centre of Sankt Gallen, just steps away from the Abbey Library, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Excellent location, lovely room and cleanliness was fantastic.
