The nearest airport is Mount Gambier Airport, 8 km from the inn. Checkin is at the bar, all went fine. There's a big parking lot you can use behind the hotel. There was a slight mishap with our room, which was however handled in a very professional way and immediately corrected. The room is quite large and rather new, with a big bathroom and ample space for our luggage. We enjoyed the restaurant downstairs with a nice choice of wines and there's also the possibility to order a breakfast in the morning. The location is right in the middle of downtown, perfect to walk around the city but the rooms are really quiet, even though the main road is just next to the hotel. Loved the town itself, there's a lot of history here, but also interesting geology in downtown and close by with the lakes. Worth a stop.

Free private parking is available on site. Beautiful cottage in the owners' beautiful garden, so woken up by the birds. Strathalbyn is a lovely small town, with plenty of places to eat. We were provided with all we needed for a full breakfast.
