The host Wendy was very nice. You have the privacy of your own home. We received a complimentary bottle of wine as well as some items that were in the fridge. This was something that we haven't experienced at any of the other guesthouses that we stayed in. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and the pool was well maintained even though it was winter. The property is located in a quiet area and the view of the mountain is absolutely stunning. I loved it, would absolutely go back there again.
This is the perfect Guesthouse in Stellenbosch with what has to be the best breakfast in all of South Africa. The rooms are charming, well-decorated and with everything you could possibly need. John is a wonderful host and he made my group feel very special. Amazing value for your money. Even if you don't like wine, come to Stellenbosch just so you can stay at Van der Stel Manor.

We just loved Navarre as the location (in the middle of the vineyards) is quiet and beautiful. We had corner apartment with a large terrace and lounge area. The unit felt very private and the interiors were beautifully appointed. The apartment was spotless and the kitchen offered everything one could think of and need during our three night stay. The hosts were wonderful and kind and the complimentary bottle of wine tasted great. This is a real special place and a great location to explore the surrounding wineries.
Great location... great Hostess (the hot water bottle in my bed was an added bonus on this winter evening) ... lovely facilities. Super clean accommodation. I look forward to staying at Boord Guest House again.
