The location was superb- right in the centre of Hermanus and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. Despite this,we didn't have any issues with noise during the evening (Hermanus isn't a late night/party place by any stretch).
Our room was beautiful and well appointed (robes, tea/coffee/fridge/sitting area). The bed was comfy and the linens were good quality. As other reviews mentioned, the beds do seem slightly shorter than usual. Wifi was strong.
We loved the pool area- it was surprisingly peaceful and calm given the central location. Towels provided.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the complimentary port/sherry in the lounge area. The honesty bar was well priced and had a decent selection.
Breakfast is at the restaurant next door to the hotel (you need to choose a time to eat breakfast when you check in). The buffet selection was good quality (cheese/fruit etc). Hot options were tasty.

Our room was large, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The layout was quirky (bath and shower in the main room so no privacy) but that wasn't an issue for us. Super comfy bed.
The aircon and wifi worked well, and the parking was secure.
The staff were all very friendly and engaging- could not fault them.
Breakfast was excellent. Good selection of cheese/pastries/fruit plus hot options. The omelette was very tasty. Good quality coffee.
The free wine and snacks between 5-7 was a nice touch.
The pretty Abalone Guest Lodge is a 4-star property at Sievers Point, right on the cliffs overlooking Hermanus Bay, an ideal spot for whale-watching.

The breakfast was good. A good selection of food. The accommodation was great, very neat and clean. I simply loved the shower. It was close to all the amenities. Our family was there for the whale tour and the accommodation was so close to the Southern Right Charters. Thumbs up for the location.

It was a really cozy place! The decor and furnishings were lovely. Breakfast was great! The staff were really helpful and accommodating. Lovely rooms, spacious bathroom. Our room even had an outdoor bbq area, which was fab!
The property is very conveniently located, too, within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, etc.
The photos on booking.com really don't do justice to the property. It actually looks so much better!

I looked at the previous reviews and everyone rated the breakfast highly, which made me curious... Upon tasting the breakfast, I agree with the other reviews lol, the breakfast was amazing. Steven is a great host, and the room was comfy with modern finishes. The guesthouse was walking distance from all places one would wish to visit and I could see how the pool area would be desirable in summer.
Host were very accommodating and helpful , I have never been to a guest house that is so well organized , everything was labeled , neat and clean , clear instructions on how everything works . Best was the spice rake was fully stocked , they gave us fresh fruit and rusks , The hot tub was relaxing !!! it was amazing .!!!! 1000% value for money.
I will def be back again , think i found my preferred guest house .
We really enjoyed our stay in this guesthouse. It is located in a quiet place but very close to the town centre and with a shortcut access to the famous cliff path. Stefan and Nikki are very welcoming hosts and helped us a lot with valuable recommendations on how to spend time.
The room has new equipment and is very comfortable. We were there in hot time, but there was always fresh wind from the ocean in the night.
Also, very delicious breakfast with generous portions. Definitely recommend this place!
Exceptionally friendly hosts Natascha and Devon. Great breakfast with multiple fresh fruits, egg choices, fresh yoghurts and cereals. All blessed by a great ocean view. Welcome mini bar in room, airco properly working for hot days, little things taken care of and deliciously smelling fynbos soap & lotion. Gated parking at the guesthouse, a few minutes walking from the center.
Very nice guest house: large room with beautiful bathroom and little private garden. The hosts are very nice and during our stay they gave us great recommendations for things to do in Hermanus and in the area, including restaurants, activities and excursions. The guest house is nicely located within walking distance from the ocean front as well as Hermanus city center so it was perfect for our short weekend stay. Breakfast was also excellent, with sweet and savory options freshly prepared upon request!
Such a warm and gentle hostess. Very quiet and thus perfect for relaxation. A beautiful pool area and friendly atmosphere. The house is located away from the hectic city centre which can still be reached in walking distance in a short time and wonderful walk along the coast.
Great location. Seaview, lock up and go unit, with parking available onsite, with a private entry to the unit and a private braai area too. Unit was neat, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Beach within walking distance. Bird lovers paradise and gorgeous sunrise views. Great hosts who were very responsive and warmly welcomed us .
