Bon Maison Guest House, hotel in New Orleans

Offering a terrace, Bon Maison Guest House is set in New Orleans, Louisiana, right on Bourbon Street and 656 feet from St Louis Cathedral.

Oh my god. This was such an amazing stay! This apartment was the PERFECT location. I was expecting to break the bank for a good stay but this was perfect value for the time spent. It was also clean, warm, and functional. The cute courtyard was a great photo background but was not used much since it was so cold. I felt very safe with the gate lock. It was also surprisingly quiet for being so close to Bourbon St especially since the bedroom is basically blacked out! The bed was also very spacious allowing my mother and I to share the bed without ever touching! I would totally stay here again when I return!

Well maintained, clean and comfortable house in a great location, close enough to the city's main attractions in the French Quarter (all within walking distance) yet very peaceful and quiet with some nice neighbourhood cafés in the area. Check in process with the host was swift and easy. Highly recommended in New Orleans

I think the criticism of this hotel is unfair. I nearly cancelled after reading some of the reviews. I’m glad I didn’t. This hotel is charming and billed as a 2 star so don’t expect luxury but it’s a quaint historic property in a great location at one end of Frenchman street. That means it is right in the midst of great bars, cafes and breakfasts. But we had a room set back off the street on the inner courtyard and didn’t experience any of the noise that other guests have complained about. Staff were lovely.

Great hostel. Modern and spacious rooms (4 bed dorm) with washroom that had toilet and shower, plus sink in dorm room. Friendly and mostly efficient staff. Good lounge with daily happy hour for cheap beer. Only open to travellers, not for locals.

Brent is an amazing host - very welcoming, helpful & cooks a delicious breakfast. Beautiful guest house in a great location with free parking & very easy access to French Quarter etc via streetcar which is a few minutes walk away & costs only $3 for a 24 hour pass. Brent also booked 2 excursions for us. A real home from home.

Our last visit was six years ago and we were very impressed with the remodeling of the hotel done three years ago. We choose the Pelham because of its value and great location; on a quieter street, but close enough to everything to easily walk. Also, it is a smaller hotel so you don't have to be held hostage waiting for the elevator on a 20 storey hotel.

A beautiful home decorated to a high standard with lots of interesting features and dining area lounge to relax and read a book. Beautiful veranda out front to sit and have a cuppa. A quiet area and 20 minute walk to the French Quarter. Katie is a great host with lots of stories of the area and places to visit. Also does an amazing breakfast endless pastries and bacon and eggs and beverages just delightful. Highly recommend this wonderful home and Katie's hospitality.
