Our stay at Duara Beach in Paje was truly unforgettable! The location, right on the kite beach, is absolutely stunning and makes this place the perfect retreat to fully enjoy the beauty of Zanzibar. While the accommodation is simple, it provides everything you need for a relaxing vacation.
From the moment we arrived, Fatima and Haji welcomed us with such warmth, making us feel at home. Their hospitality was always present and contributed greatly to our overall comfort. We especially appreciated the little touches like the complimentary coffee, tea, and refillable water.
Every morning, we were treated to a freshly prepared breakfast, which was a real delight, and the rooms were cleaned daily to ensure we felt comfortable throughout our stay. Thanks to Fatima and Haji’s attentive care, our holiday turned into a true highlight. We will definitely be back!

Helwas is an absolute paradise. The entire ambience of the accommodation is beautifully laid out in the interplay between wonderful plants and white sand, with the Indian Ocean right in front of the door.
The rooms are spacious, very clean and lovingly decorated. The use of natural materials (throughout the entire area) is particularly impressive. The food is excellent and the cozy atmosphere - especially at evenings with some local live music - clearly stands out from the very touristy centers.
The owners are very welcoming and helpful! All organizational questions (excursions, etc.) were clarified immediately. The personal exchange and interaction with one another exudes a particularly friendly atmosphere. As also the entire staff does who are very warm and accommodating.
We felt comfortable being there the whole time! I can definitely recommend this place!

The accommodation is 200 m away from the beach and numerous restaurants and beach bars. Trevor was an amazing host and took his time to show me around Zanzibar and teach me some of the local lingo. I really enjoyed my stay at Gecko house.

Beautiful detail and authentic feel to the property. Good quality food cooked in an open view kitchen. Excellent and friendly local staff throughout. Simon in particular had absolutely delightful energy and presence about him. Manager Peter was always around and on hand to help with anything. Lovely stay in a beautiful location just off Jambiani Beach.

Great location, near to the beach and plenty of food and drink places. Rooms were as described, we had no qualms. We had breakfast one of the mornings and we found it to be good value for money. The best part of our stay here was the great host Vanessa, she was so welcoming and helpful in giving us recommendations in the area and overall ensured we had a great stay!

Rooms and communal areas were very clean. Lots of space to chill out! or work, if you wanted.
This isn’t a party hotel, as in it is quiet in the evenings, but it is very social and great to meet people. The two owners are really helpful, social and great fun!

The guesthouse has great location in the centre of Paje, 5 min to the beach. The room is big and has comfortable furniture.In spite of central location, it was quite quiet compared to other places I stayed at.The breakfast prepared by Sophie was amazing! Fresh fruit juice, vegetables every morning. It wasn't the case everywhere. Absolutely my number 1!
I unfortunately only had one day but it felt like being home. Claudia and Abdul are great hosts, the Team is amazing! I had a silent night. All the rooms are located in a lush Garden. I had a poolview room with a small Terrasse. Everything is very clean. The food is very good and the kitchen chef also listens to your meal wishes. The menue is changing daily. To the beach it is a app. 5 to 10 minutes walk. Simba is not directly in the village which makes it a quiet place to stay. But it is still very close to shops, Restaurants and bars.
