Everything. Rooms immaculately clean. We stayed in two ten days apart. The hosts were more than hospitable letting me practice my Portuguese on them even though they spoke perfect English. Breakfasts were wonderful..A huge effort wasade to make us feel welcome. A great base from which to explore Porto and the surrounding area.

Free parking around the corner. The guy that rents out this place is very nice and speaks very good English. For people that want to stay here, make sure that you read the description right - you are staying in a room in a shared apartment where the people that rent out the room live upstairs. There is a cat living here so if you are allergic to cats… I love cats, so no problem with this. There is a kitchen upstairs that you are allowed to use and everything is labeled.
Located in the heart of Porto, Cale Guest House offers modern, brightly coloured, air-conditioned rooms with a balcony or patio.

Receiving a message 2 days before via whatsapp to just give all information as we were arriving a little later, to the communication backwards and forwards to confirm dietary info for breakfast, was all simply brilliant.
The rooms are fabulous, the price is excellent value and breakfast was fabulous too
Think we lucked out get this place when we did.

Nice welcoming staff, cosy common areas , excellent cheese omelette.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Great location, close to river but far enough away to ensure a quiet stay. Our host was attentive and responded quickly to requests and questions we had. The room was very spacious and we had amazing views from our top floor room. The kitchen was really well equipped. I suggest parking in paid parking to start with. Later in the evening it is reasonably easy to find free parking nearby.
Nice and centrally located apartment, you can get to the city center in about 10 min by metro. Really friendly and helpful host, I felt myself absolutely welcomed there. Decent breakfast with fresh fruits is included in the price.
Great location, surrounded by a lively neighbourhood yet quiet during the night. We got some great tips as to how to navigate the city as well. The rooms were charming and clean. Thank you for having us, will definitely come here again next time we're in Porto.
It was a great location. The apartment is clean with all amenities you need.
A great host who is more than helpful, and great advice. There is a great home feel.
Great hostess, Catarina gave us plenty of tips and very pleasant and helpful.
Wonderful breakfast , with fresh juices, fresh fruit, plenty of food available plus excellent homemade cake !
Very clean and lovely room. Good value for money.
Thanks Catarina !!
We loved this little guest house. It had lots of character, was in a great location, very clean and had little details which were charming. The welcome drink in our room, port of course, was such a nice thought. The room was small but to be expected for a city stay and it was cleverly thought out so we did not really notice. Carla, our hostess was the best part of this guest house. She bent over backwards to accomodate our needs. We arrived very early, needed some recommendations, etc. and she was more than helpful. A big Thank you!
Lovely guest house with very nice hosts, beautiful and clean rooms, great location only 14 minutes walking to the most popular spot in Porto - Ponte Luis Bridge. We stayed one night only but I can imagine we would stay longer and have a great time. :)
