Clean and spacious room with a balcony. The owner was very helpful and let us check in early and check out late due to our train schedule. The room had heaps of amenities including a fridge stocked with drinks and there’s coffee and tea making facilities in the room. The owner also gave us recommendations for restaurants and it was the best Portuguese food we’ve eaten in Portugal, and very affordable.
We would come back to Tavira and stay here again for sure

The aspect combined with the beautiful rooms and the fact that you can explores the marshes through the back fence and see flamingos. On top of this some of the best service I’ve ever experienced. This is probably the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We loved it.

Olivia was most welcoming when we arrived and a brilliant host. Our room was clean, comfortable and exactly as described on the website. The breakfast was superb, with fresh fruit, interesting breads and homemade yogurt and jams. The location was wonderful, only a few steps to the beach ferry boat and lots of lovely restaurants and a supermarket in the vicinity.
We had stayed in a host of larger hotels across the Algarve, and chose Casa Viana, because we knew that it would be completely different, small, homey, sincere, with extremely warm owner and her brother. A real Portuguese Guesthouse. Each morning lovely breakfasts were offered. In the last century, the current owner's grandfather had used it as a factory for processing Octopuses. Boats to the island are just outside the door, and there are countless restaurants and bars just down the street.
