The Host 'Mercedes' is an incredibly sweet and helpful lady. She made me feel very welcome and she was great to talk to! The place is a bit further away from the centre of Trujillo which makes it nice and quiet. But the taxi's will come get you, because the place is just between Trujillo and Huanchaco. The Archaeological place Chan Chan is really close as wel. The garden was very pretty with the colorful flowers!
Great host, location and wifi connection. The terrace is also a huge plus. I really enjoyed my stay at this place, although I didn´t like the city itself that much. If ever returning to Trujillo, I would definitely stay here again and do recommend this accommodation to anybody!
We arrived super early from an overnight bus journey (5.30am!) and were still able to check in straight away which was very much appreciated. The staff were very friendly and booked us taxis when needed. Room was clean and comfortable, very nice shower. Great location on a quiet street, only a 15min walk to Plaza de Armas.
The lady who runs the place is incredibly hospitable and kind. It was a reasonable price for a very basic but private room. Wifi was good. There is a kitchen available for use. Breakfast available if you want. THE TORTOISES ARE AWESOME!
And Trujillo city centre is actually pretty. The hostel is 100 metres from a pleasant walking street that leads all the way down to the main plaza.
