Excellent location on the island. Easy to take a boat and access to others part of the island. Quiet and peaceful place to hear birds, monkeys, sea at night. Carmen and Marcel are great host. Delicious food cooked by Carmen. Really helpful and kind. Peaceful stay with a twist of magic at the sunset.
Place is quiet and beautiful, terrace is shared, but I was alone in upper floor. Location is great. It was super clean. Host was nice.

A uniquely beautiful accommodation on the quiet island of Bastimentos.
For all those who are looking for peace and quiet it is exactly the right accommodation. Kayak and snorkeling equipment is available, the rooms are spacious, the food takes place in a wonderful atmosphere. Hosts are incredibly friendly, we would come back anytime and highly recommend it.
This is a wonderful place, great location in the nature, easy to get to. The hosts, Carmen and Marcel, create very welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and they are very helpful with all the recommendations. The rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast is great. Carmen also cooks dinner sometimes, if you are lucky to be there that day, I definitely recommend to join, it’s delicious. It was overall a great experience staying at Carmen’s Place.
Lovely place, very scenic... I am so happy that I choose this place. I spent four nights and would have loved to stay longer. Great location easy access to Bocas...water taxi drops you to and from Carmen's place directly, so you can party on Bocas if you wish and return to the peaceful surroundings. Carmen and Marcel were exceptional host. Had dinner twice at venue and Carmen is a wonderful chef...and breakfast is filling. I Also reccomend arranging tours through Carmen's place. I felt very safe as a solo female traveller.
I cannot recommend this place more. The guesthouse is located at the tip of a small island peninsula with truly breathtaking views from the rooms. It is a prefect place for those looking for some peace and quiet, surrounded by the jungle on one side and the sea on the other.
