Really nice locally owned hostel right by the water :) great chill out area and my stay was made even better by the amazing volunteers who were so amazing and nice!! The hostel is clean and tidy, shared dorm has big lockers and private rooms were very spacious. The Zapatilla tour I booked through the hostel was super fun, we even got to go fishing and caught barracudas. I had a very memorable time in Bastimentos because of this hostel and would highly recommend it to everyone :)

A moment out of time, a fantastic stay. Incredible lodge surrounded by lush nature. Everything was done to ensure that our stay went smoothly, and that we were able to make the most of it (snorkeling equipment available, help and advice on the sites to see in the area....). The welcome was warm, the hosts available, attentive, very friendly, and Nathalie, an outstanding cook!!! Thank you to the whole family for the many tips, and their kindness!
Overall experience was outstanding. The hosts are very welcoming and the lodge has everything we could have asked for. The food was really delicious too.
Excellent location on the island. Easy to take a boat and access to others part of the island. Quiet and peaceful place to hear birds, monkeys, sea at night. Carmen and Marcel are great host. Delicious food cooked by Carmen. Really helpful and kind. Peaceful stay with a twist of magic at the sunset.
The owners are great hosts, everyone there is super kind & helpful! The rooms are clean & spacious. The location is gorgeous, lots to see & to do. Delicious breakfast & dinner! 100% recommend!
This is a wonderful place, great location in the nature, easy to get to. The hosts, Carmen and Marcel, create very welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and they are very helpful with all the recommendations. The rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast is great. Carmen also cooks dinner sometimes, if you are lucky to be there that day, I definitely recommend to join, it’s delicious. It was overall a great experience staying at Carmen’s Place.
Lovely place, very scenic... I am so happy that I choose this place. I spent four nights and would have loved to stay longer. Great location easy access to Bocas...water taxi drops you to and from Carmen's place directly, so you can party on Bocas if you wish and return to the peaceful surroundings. Carmen and Marcel were exceptional host. Had dinner twice at venue and Carmen is a wonderful chef...and breakfast is filling. I Also reccomend arranging tours through Carmen's place. I felt very safe as a solo female traveller.
