A wonderful inn with such personable caretakers. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. The location was quiet, yet so close to a wonderful square where we loved to people=watch and wander.

I can’t recommend Shekhar’s Shared Home enough. Shekhar, the owner, goes above and beyond to ensure you have a full experience of Bhaktapur. He personally guides his guests, free of charge, through the winding alleys of the historic city, revealing the hidden gems of the area and introducing them to local delicacies.
His guesthouse also has a welcoming atmosphere that truly feels like home. In the evenings, the living room transforms into a gathering spot where travelers from all over connect and share stories.
If you’re traveling alone or want to experience Bhaktapur from a local’s perspective, Shekhar’s Shared Home is the perfect place.

Excellent and professional staff. So close to the stupa and with a lovely garden and quality restaurant.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
It has great views. The rooms are very comfortable. Ideal for those seeking a quiet time. The breakfast buffet is amazing. The staff are kind and truly helpful. They found me a taxi back to Kathmandu for a very good value. There’s a suspension bridge about 3.5km away which is a fun walk.
+ beautifull view
+ AMAZING homemade food from the menu
+ unique, cheap homemade KODO (alcohol)
+ very very very friendly hosts who speak little english but will love to have dinner together and talk. (They where so kind!!!!)
Great location in the bush, and close to the main attraction of the area - the suspension bridge. Staff were really helpful and friendly and made every effort to make our time special. Nice private little cottages on the side of the hill.
The location was top-notch, completely surrounded by nature, hiking trails, a suspension bridge and a waterfall. Its quiet and everyone is extremely friendly!
It's a Lovely with Location complimented 😊 scenic sunrise🌞. Very affordable and host also very friendly and helpful like a family. You could get wifi and hot shower 🚿 what else you need. Also, he grown homegrown authentic organic food. It was perfect😍. I highly recommend for solo traveller. I stayed 2 nights at Sunrise Point Homestay and it was great!
The view from the room is absolutely stunning, I had the best sunrise in 3 months traveling through Nepal!
The host family is friendly and welcoming, the food is cheap and delicious, everything is fresh and come from the garden.
The place is quiet and I wish I could have stayed longer because this is the perfect place to be for settling a bit after weeks of backpacking...
Thank you for everything!
Very great hosts who helped us with every request. The food was the best we had so far in Nepal. If you like it simple, quiet and close to nature, this is the right place for you. Directly from the accommodation you can do various hikes. We will come again.
