Jardin Merida is a delightful, locally owned boutique hotel with four guest rooms. The location is excellent, just steps away from an OXOX & supermarket and an attached mini-mall, providing all the provisions you might need for your stay in Merida. Although the free continental breakfast wasn't mentioned in the listing, it pleasantly surprised us and served as a great way to start our mornings in Merida.
The attached restaurant seemed popular among regular patrons, and while we didn't have a chance to try other dishes as we were already full after enjoying the fresh fruit, coffee, juice, and freshly baked muffin, we believe the food is surely delightful.
We stayed in the Rosa Rokm. =$52.25 Usd with a which featured a king bed and offered ample space. The bed was firm and comfortable, while the sheets were delightfully soft. The presence of a ceiling fan and air conditioning efficiently cooled the room, providing us with a pleasant stay.
The staff and owners were exceptionally kind and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience of our stay. The beautiful pool area with its botanical gardens added to the charm, and the cool water was truly refreshing. Additionally, the gated private parking was a significant convenience.
Overall, this was a perfect stay for us, and we wouldn't hesitate to choose Jardin Merida again when we return to Merida. We extend our gratitude to Norma, the staff, and the family for providing us with a great stay and a delicious breakfast.

Check in was easy, they contact you as soon as you book with details. The for sale sign on the house is confusing at first. This is a shared house, each room rented out individually. I’ve stayed in them before and this was the best I’ve experienced in Mexico.
There are 5 rooms total, a large shared living room with TV, a large shared kitchen and dining area and a small shared laundry room (for no extra charge) outside of the main house. We loved the convenience of having the laundry there and everything worked great.
They provide drinking water, which was very convenient. The kitchen has all of the basic essentials and many items are divided into the cabinets by room. There are 2 shared refrigerators, also divided by rooms. We did not have any issues with sharing the kitchen although the refrigerator can be limiting if you’re going to be cooking, etc. because of space. We booked the stay for a week and had some grocery items. Everyone seemed to respect each other’s things.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The main house is the cleanest I’ve seen in Mexico. The rooms are roach free, the bed is huge and the shower has good water pressure. Staff was always around doing something and available. We stayed upstairs, not in the main house, which does have a narrow spiral staircase that is a bit sketchy in the rain, but the top (shared) patio has a nice vibe and is shaded. Downstairs is a better option for those wanting to avoid the narrow, metal outdoor stairs. There are rooms in the main house to avoid this and they look larger, but there’s the noise of others coming and going.

There was no real breakfast provided but you can cook. There is a kitchen. The Staff was fantastic and very helpful and understanding. I will HIGHLY recommend staying there to try it out. OXXO 2 blocks away and money exchange not far away by Uber. Keep in mind it is close to the city.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Charming and relaxing home away from home near the centre of Mérida. Ananda and José (and their two dogs) are very friendly and welcoming hosts, I felt instantly at home after a long day travelling. The pool and garden offered a great place to cool down and escape the heat of the afternoon, and the guesthouse was an easy stroll to the heart of the city.
Casa Valentina looks great in the pictures here, but it’s even more amazing in person. It is charming, well stocked with kitchen amenities (though we did not use them this trip), and has a great location. It’s a quiet residential area, but only a 10 min walk to the Centro. We were near many of the vegan restaurants we wanted to try, as well as Paseo Montejo. We felt really lucky to have been able to stay in this lovely house.
Wonderful stay at a beautiful guest house! Sarah and George were fantastic hosts. The room we stayed in was stunning, as is the whole property. Breakfast each day was delicious and the whole atmosphere was so relaxing. Great location to explore Merida from! Highly recommend.
Charming little boutique hotel organised round a delightful leafy courtyard. Quiet and only a short walk from the historic centre. Staff were super helpful and the breakfast was nice. Didn't try the pool but it looked nice.
Beautiful and quaint hotel, great location, quiet courtyard to relaxe and swim!
The BEST restaurant in a Boutique Hotel; we ate in the Rosas y Xocolate Restaurant four of the five nights; really it is among the finest!
This is a lovely boutique hotel on a quiet street in the city centre, so you can walk everywhere! (Check out Cantina Negrita around the corner for great food, drinks and salsa!)The room is comfortable and you have everything you need.
Staff are lovely, especially Vivi from the front desk. Thank you for the chats, Vivi! :)
Very lush and beautiful hostel. We has a private room with a huge balcony! The breakfast was great and varied with baked goods, fruit and usually something savory. Interesting people, friendly staff, and quiet at night. Great location near several parks, markets, and transportation hubs. Also, closer to the non-touristy part of Centro. Enjoyed our stay.
Great location - lovely quiet neighbourhood near to the center.
Hosts were friendly and helpful (and they have a little cut dog! 🙂). David gave us some tips about Merida and they made us early breakfast so we were able to eat before heading to the airport.
Thank you for hosting us!
Super cheap, great location 15 minute walk to plaza grande Central. Breakfast was good. Great hostel to meet new people. 5 minute walk from ado CAME bus station. Nice chill areas inside and outside hostel.
