Firstly, to be met at the airport and taxi'd to the hotel was reassuring for a Male first-timer. Even at midnight, the roads were hectic with a million scooters zipping everywhere.
On arrival at Sala, Rose and Thomas were excellent and attentive guests. Though rustic, the room was very clean and comfortable and had everything needed for a good night's sleep. It was very quiet given it's urban location. Even though a busy area, Sala was off the main road that several of the hotels are on.
We were too late for dinner, but i look forward to returning to try Sala Thai restaurant.
The breakfast was outstanding: fresh fruit, yoghurt, a selection of fresh breads, coffee and juice in a dining setting.

Over a period of two weeks I spend five nights at Tourist Inn in Malé.
The people at tourist inn were so very friendly and helpful.
I don't think I experienced it like this anywhere else.
Communication was also done very well, they ensured I knew everything needed for my stay without me having to ask for the information myself.
If I return to Malé I will certainly stay with them again.

The cheapest place to stay in Male. It was not my first time to stay in capsule type bed. It's good if you arrived late and just need somwhere to sleep. The staff recommended where to eat.

Very nice breakfast, with specially made spicy omelette. Terrific view from 9th floor. Close to the taxi boats, no need for a taxi. Very friendly stuff.

They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
We stayed there only 1 night because we had an early flight from Male back home. Location is quite near the airport and also going to Male center is not difficult (short taxi ride). Host was welcoming and helping with taxi arrangements. Next to the guesthouse there are several restaurants and shops, also beach is not far away. Rooms are spacious, at least ours (the bigger one).
We spent 2 days in Male and everything was great. The room is very clean. Althought that location of guesthouse is on very busy in croudly street is very quiet location because the room is on 5th floor. The owner is very kind and helpful, he helps us with everything - taxi, money change, informations about good restaurants... I highly recommend if you are staying in Male just for overnight or for more days.
We only had one night here arriving from the airport and transferring early the next morning, however, it was clean, comfortable, hot water and good wifi. It is in a great location. We caught the bus from the airport which cost us $1 Australia and it stops within less than 100m of the guest house. The same bus also goes to Male ferry terminals the next day which made it super easy for us. The staff are friendly and helpful. We are staying again at the end of our stay!
Great location near to Male ferry harbor (400m), artificial beach (200m), city center 10min walk. Friendly hotel staff, specially thanks to Anfas recommend what to see in city and enable me earlier check-in. Clean room, really comfortable bed, good working A/C, good wifi in room. Side street not so noisly. Roof top restaurant on 9th floor with nice view during breakfast. Lot of restaurants around. Easy reachable from airport by taxi 6-7USD (70-80MVR Dec2023).
Great location for a stop over for before or after flights to Malé, the airport shuttle bus takes you directly to the guest house within 25 mins and also back again. It runs every 30 mins.
The Guest House itsself is comfortable, very well maintained and big compliments to the Host who was amazing in terms of communication and helping us as much as he could even for just a one night stay. Would 100% recommend coming here.
The guesthouse was very clean and it is in a great location in the centre of Male. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us with whatever we needed! Comfortable beds and quiet location!
