Lovely place in idyllic setting. Staff were so kind and accommodating. Breakfast and evening meal were both delicious. Swimming pool was very inviting and we saw monkeys whilst in the garden.

It was a very pleasant stay. The hosts are very nice and helpful. Their hospitality is a great benifit. It was clean enough and worth the money. Different fruit for breakfast every day. Also eggs, bread, butter, hoppers were offered. Unawatuna main beach and main street with restaurants and shops are very close and it is enough quiet though.

Fantastic location - right in the centre of Unawatuna, with the beach so close by. Even though it was on a busy road, you didn’t hear a thing. It’s set back from the main road, and it feels like you’re in your own little jungle, listening to the bird sounds. Beautiful room and bathroom, with a lovely balcony. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I arrived so early, they let me chill by the pool until the room was ready.

Tharanga was the most amazing host , she went out of her way to make us feel at home and welcome. The guesthouse is beautiful, clean , spacious and so peaceful. Huge room and massive bed. Nice quiet setting and loved having breakfast served on our balcony each morning. Great hosts who were very helpful arranging early check out and ordering transport and a take away breakfast so we could catch the early train.
Nil is a great host. Friendly, generous and always there when you need help. He also makes great breakfast!
The butterfly jewel is located on a quiet street, but still just a few minute walk to the beach and buzz of Unawatuna.
We truly enjoyed the house porch and outdoor kitchen where we could relax with a cup of tea in the shade.

Great location, incredible ocean view. Nearby there is a grocery store, a cafe, a beach with turtles. You can also drive 10-15 minutes to the main beach. Friendly host, checked us in earlier than the marked time and helped with any questions. Breakfast was always fresh fruit, smoothies/coconut and scrambled eggs/sandwiches.
