Suranga was a great host and so interesting to talk to during all our evenings spent in his great restaurant at the entrance to the property.
We had great breakfasts, with thick toast, and amazing tasty meals often different from the menu that you can order in the morning.
Cold beer, good mojitos and nice music.
We had the family room,tho only the two of us, and it was clean comfortable and with a great patio to sit on relaxing prior to going the nearby beach in the morning before breakfast and before heading to the restaurant in the evening.
We stayed nine nights and loved our stay here.

Quiet area, room was large and clean, owners were very nice, a short walk to the beach and to the turtle sanctuary. Lots of restaurants nearby. You can also eat at the property. You can walk to Tangalle along the beach. It was so peaceful here we stayed an extra night.

The location is super peaceful and quiet, lots of animals right by the lagoon. 7 mins away from the beach.
The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I got stung by a jelly fish and got offered Aloe Vera right away which really helped me a lot. The breakfast and food in general is homemade and super super tasty. The coffee was also pretty good.
I definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a super quiet and peaceful timeout to just relax and enjoy being surrounded by all kinds of peaceful animals.

We had a wonderful stay at Four Season Guest House! The family running it is very friendly, welcoming and open. Our kid was invited to play with all the toys of their kids and we had some lovely conversations.
The guest house is very clean and location is only 2 min walk to the beach! Breakfast was lovely, very filling and good coffee as well :)

Our chalet was super comfortable and seconds from the beach. We also had our own table for breakfast and dinner in the middle of nature with view of the ocean. We could see monkeys and peacocks. The team was just fabulous and very attentive to our needs. If you wish to be a little far from everything else, that’s the best place for couple of days!

Never have we met someone so nice, lovely and helpful as the hosts, Manu and Sashi.
Words are not enough to describe our time here, if you are in Tangalle, there is only one place you should stay. Also the cooking skills from Manu and Sashi are better than in most of the restaurants.

Great location. Not too far from the city centre and only like 2 mins walk to the beach. The rooms are spacious and clean. The A/C works very well and good shower pressure as well.
The host was very helpful. Gave me informations about the bus and waited with me till the bus arrived.
Great location near to a very quiet and beautiful beach. The property is great, and the hammock and seating in the garden area are a great touch! We really enjoyed the food and would recommend trying the optional dinner at least once: it was one of the best rice and curries we had in Sri Lanka. The hosts are really helpful and offer assistance with organising lots of local activities, including kayaking on the lagoon close by.
A lovely, helpful family host this new homestay. Great location only 2 mins walk to the wonderful Mawella beach. Our room was large and well equipped with air-conditioning, fan and mosquito net. There is a small private patio area outside the room and a larger shared terrace with a comfy sofa. Wonderful breakfasts made freshly each morning. Very quiet and peaceful at night. Highly recommended.

The Guesthouse is very close to the beach! The location is perfect. You can hear the waves crushing on the shore in your bed! The owners are very nice ppl. It's very quiet good for sleeping 😴. Simple room with private bathroom in a great location a few steps from the beach !
Right on the beach. Very quiet, comfortable room with good fan, aircon and nice beds. Room was really big too. Hosts were lovely. Had an excellent Sri Lankan breakfast each morning. Also the hosts arranged a very cheap tuk tuk to take me to my next destination.
