The property is a 10 minute walk from town. The staff are friendly. They drove us to the bus stop after our stay and made sure we got on the right bus. We got back from a Yala safari after checkout time so I was expecting to just grab our bags and go but they held off cleaning the bathroom in our room so that we could shower and use it after the safari if we needed. The room was big with AC and a mosquito net.

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at Yaye. The setting is in the countryside with access to magical walks through rice paddies and farm land with opportunities to connect with friendly locals. Walks can take you all the way to seaside with many bird and water buffalo sightings. The accommodations at Yaye are modest, but adequate. The courtyard setting is beautiful and zen-like. The fish dinner prepared by host was one of the best meals we had while we were in Sri Lanka. Host was gracious and accommodating! Yaye for us was very memorable.

The courtyard and garden were a marvel in and of themselves. We sat out by the rice fields and watched firefies illuminate the trees above us.
It was also very clean and very well maintained.

Great location for Yala Safari. The house is a 20-25min walk to Kirinda beach and less than 5 min to a shop with water, fruit and snacks. We stayed to do a 12hr safari with Santha the host which was very fairly priced and really enjoyable. Very generous breakfast and lunch on safari. Way more than we could eat. The room is clean and basic but provided what we needed. Lovely seating area outside the room to relax in the garden with some lovely plants.
The property is in a lovely quiet location and our host Babu and his helpers went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. I think that the fact that our entire stay was over shadowed by an unseasonal amount of monsoon rain made life difficult as the property is obviously more suited for enjoyment out doors rather than under cover! If the sun is shining I think this would be a very lovely place to lazy away some time!

Just amazing and we at home have curry four times a week .Wonderful food great host so helpful . Trust him he’s good and genuine .
The host was amazing with the flexible check-in and check-out, there is a continental breakfast included, the safari tour he offered was much cheaper than the others and we scheduled the time and he really tried for me to have the best experience. For one-two night stay it is great. Close to this accommodation is Cafe Culture - very good service, “European” looking - so if you want a change in food and setting of restaurants, go for it!
There is only one room, so you get all the attention from the host. He is a super friendly guy, who fulfills all your wishes. Breakfast and dinner are amazing and more than you can eat 😋 The beach is just a few steps away. It's absolutely beautiful and pieceful.
We had a great time there. We do highly recommend this quiet place. And we also recommend going on Safari to Yala with the host's friend.
it was perfectly clean and Spacious little house just for us! it was very quiet at night. The host were ADORABLE. they packed our lunch and breakfast, they were very attentive to anything we needed. they have a beautiful swimming pool in the middle.

Santha and his family were great hosts, very friendly and helpful. Accomodation is in peaceful and quiet area close to Yala park and you can get private tour with the host. Also you get tasty local breakfast :).
