Walking to the main central area of Ella is via a short cut thru the train tracks. Am experience one should not missed. Lovely views and quiet area. Suited for adventure walkers who doesn’t mind the uphill. Otherwise, a fast tuktuk ride can take you to the accomodation within about 10 minutes. This can also be organised with the owner should you wish. Traditional breakfast was fab ! Staff were lovely. The Pekoe trail is worth a try and can easily be accessed without a need for a walking guide.

We really loved the small cottages and the stunning view from the property. The terrace, where they served a large and varied breakfast was beautiful and cozy. The hosts were friendly and gave us some spray against leeches for our hike, which we ended up using a lot and were really grateful for.

View is awesome. Team has been very kind and friendly. Food was good. Rooms have enough space and balcony with a very nice view.
Although it can be hot in the valley, up at the top where the Hotel is located, you have sun, little wind going and no (!) humidity. Practically no mosquitos.
Very hospitable and helpful team. Since bigger cars cannot reach this mountain top they give you a ride with a small bus or tuk tuk (three wheeler). Price is also very affordable.

If you are mobility challenged, Ella generally is going to be an issue. This guesthouse is located up a steep limited access road. The rooms themselves are only accessible by 20 meters of stairs. However it is close to main street. Breakfast was plentiful. Hosts very obliging. And very peaceful at night. Bed comfortable.

The owners are very friendly and helpful. The guesthouse is surrounded by greenery. A lot of plants, trees. In the evening was nice to site in the armchair and listen to the sounds of frogs and beetles. The location is very good.

It has an amazing view, and the room were super big and comfortable.
It seems at the beginning is far from town, but actually is only 10 minutes walk!

we were flabbergasted by the view at ella gap from the rooftop. crew was amazingly helpful. they drove our tuktuk up to the guesthouse because we didn’t dare to drive the steep hill. hilltop is away from the busy and loud mainstreet. superquiet allthough 5 minutes from the centre.

Really great location just up from the high street in quiet area. Pleasant terrace outside room with place to relax. Good hot shower with good pressure. Large bed and friendly host who offered lots of travel advice. No aircon in room, but air cooler in room was sufficient
The hosts are nice and welcoming, always happy to help. Breakfast contained a number of coconut pancakes, some fresh fruits, fried egg, tea - good for beginning of the day. Comfortable bed, clean bedsheets, hot water in the attached bathroom, fan. Very quiet place

you could hear music and parties in the city center but it was quiet in the hotel :))
First things first, the hotel is in a great location. A 2 minute walk away from the main street, a 10 minute (perhaps less) to the train station and a short distance from the key hikes.
The hotel room is simply decorated and perhaps a little rough around the edges. But it's clean, quiet and charming. I had a room with two single beds, but it was easy enough to push them together.
The host is really helpful and friendly, and breakfast was great!
Super great location in the middle of the jungle, amazing view from the balcony, super friendly and nice host, very short distance to reach the city center Ella. Really recommend this guesthouse for a special experience.
A 10 min walk to city centre (easy), nice and clean and with a great host which made us feel really welcome. Little garden with a view. Iringa made a nice dinner for us. We fully recommend this for the ones who look for a simple, quiet and clean accomodation.

Paraiso Guest house has a great location on a hill very idyllic and quiet with a great view, yet it takes only 7min (tuc tuc/car) to the center of Ella. The host is super friendly and helpful and the traditional breakfast was very tasty. We can only recommend this accommodation.
