Lovely characteristic guesthouse. Spacious rooms, a nice porch overlooking the river, and everything you need. The host/manager was super welcoming and helpful, giving us a ride to the park and the bus station!
The location is convenient for Seoraksan National Park and for Sokcho beaches. Frequent buses run to both. The village Seoraksan-Dong itself has a few convenience stores and simple traditional Korean restaurants, with good food. Mon-Thursday it's extremely quiet.
White House in Sokcho provides accommodations with a garden and barbecue facilities. This guest house offers free private parking, a 24-hour front desk, and free Wifi.

Nice warm bed, simple breakfast, 3 bus stops away from national park
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
I enjoyed my stay a lot. The owner of the guesthouse is super nice and made great breakfast every morning. The hostel is in a great location and I got to meet some nice other travellers there.
Great location and awesome price. Host is super helpful and makes good coffee!
It is a simple guesthouse but that is all you need. Good fish restaurants close by
Beautiful guesthouse with a great atmosphere in a great location. The guesthouse was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was great and the host was very kind and helpful.
I felt welcome here from the first minute and could explore the city, mountains and local dishes thanks to the good recommendations of the host.
The host ist really kind and helpful and speaks English well.
The location of the guesthouse is between the city and Seoraksan National Park but in a quiet rural area.
The next bus stop is in walking distance.
I really liked the room and the view from the balcony.
Breakfast was great and brought to the room.
I would have enjoyed it to stay longer.
Perfect stay here! Great location, clean, provided free water, toiletries, and best of all it’s quiet. Ppl here are friendly. Host was very helpful, thanks for helping to arrange an early morning taxi ride for me to visit Seoraksan National park.
The guesthouse is ideally situated, right next to a bus stop that will take you to the national park in about 30 minutes. The intercity bus terminal is also right next door, if you’re arriving from Seoul!
The room was clean & quiet. Most importantly, Judith was the loveliest and most helpful host you could ever hope for! Would gladly recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in Sokcho!
It was only a short visit for me as I was visiting the national park (great location to do so) the owner was so helpful and gave me step by step how to get there. The guesthouse was clean and comfortable and had all the necessary facilities in the kitchen and bathroom. It was a quiet relaxing get away and had everything you need. The owner even went above and beyond - I had to get a bus early the next morning back to Seoul and the owner kindly drove me to the station. Highly reccomend staying here! Overall great experience
Judith (the host) made our stay extra special! She was super friendly and helpful with any questions we had and made sure we were taken care of. The guesthouse is in a great location for restaurants and having the bus stop opposite makes it easy to get to the national park and other areas.
Clean and comfortable. The hosts we're lovely and very helpful. Great location, about an hour walk to the entrance of the park or 10 min bus/taxi. The bus takes a while to get to sokcho but we got taxis that were cheap (about 18k won). There's a couple of shops and restaurants around but more variety in sokcho
