The room was very nice. The night I spent there I was one of two people so we each had a room to ourselves and it was very quiet. The hosts didn’t speak much English and my Japanese is still very broken, but they were incredibly friendly and accommodating.

The female dorm was really nice. The matress was amazing, the pillow aswell. Although it wasn’t THAT cold (about 16ºC) there was a warm mat between the matress and the sheets. That one was unexpected. I didn’t turned it on because it wasn’t necessary but it’s rly nice to have it during winter. Only a few min before check out I found that the light was also a wireless phone charger, a good point. A few other things I noticed and was beyong expected from a guest house: hair straightener (I forgot the name in english, but is that electronic device that girls usually use to straighten their hair, or curl sometimes). Shower sponge available, towels and slippers also included for free. The shower got warm quite fast. The keys were functional. The lockers were quite big.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
