Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The guesthouse is really nice--as are the people that run it. There are some decent restaurants and some really stunning parks and beaches nearby, too. I'd recommend staying here for sure!
I wish I could give 11 points for this guesthouse. It was one of the best places I have ever stayed in. The host is incredibly kind and we had some great conversations. And not to forget the incredible breakfast! I will come back and next time stay longer.
Host was very considerate, and explained things to me concisely and thoroughly when I arrived so I didn't have to ask any questions. Room was very clean, quiet, small towels were provided and there was also underfloor heating which you can adjust yourself. I learned a little bit about the history of Tsushima and was recommended some of the places worth going to visit, before renting an electrical-assist bike for ¥1500 until 3pm. Good location with access to some nice shops nearby.
We had a wonderful family vacation here. The guesthouse is new and clean. It offers a view over the harbour in a calm fisherman's village. A nice swimming beach is just 5 minutes walking away.
The Japanese breakfast is served in a traditional dining room of a 150 year old house.
Despite of existing language barriers the owner was caring for us in a lovely manner. He even drove us around the island for a sightseeing tour!
There was an employee who spoke fluent English & Korean.
The host were incredibly kind and very helpful with pick ups and drop offs. The location was very near to Izuhara port. I would recommend hiring a car if you wanted to fully explore Tsushima though.
Great location with sea views, albeit a bit difficult to find. Got directions from the tourist information centre in the middle of the township. Hotel staff are very friendly.
