Words cannot express how wonderful this lodge is. Mama San and Pappa San treated us like family. The breakfast every morning was delicious. Pappa San even drove us to the station when our bus didn’t arrive. I will be back. Narusawa is a little gem.
Thank you for the memories!

A very good place to spend overnight after a long hiking trip. It was possible to take a bath to relax the body - a big sento area for the entire group. Liked the Japanese-styled environment of the room.

The view from the Fuji-view room was amazing. Location was ok, in a very calm area, about 15mins walk through rice-fields and a residential area from restaurants. The room was great, super clean and beautiful, and the sauna-jaccuzi and onsen were so great to relax in. The host was such a nice guy, and sang for us at night, beautiful japanese songs. It was moving and a very authentic japanese cultural experience. The host makes huge efforts on every level to make your stay a nice one. I have a great memory from this calm and relaxing place, it was an oasis of tranquility and comfort during a busy and exciting trip to japan. Will go back for sure, even if its just to relax and look at Mt Fuji again.

We were given cake when we arrived. It was very good. Furthermore the futons were soft and fluffy, it didn't feel much different from sleeping on a normal bed.
Featuring a shared lounge, Hana Hostel Fujisan is set in Yoshida. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen, and buying tickets for guests.

The couple that own the place are the sweetest! We went for both lunch and dinner with them, going to an amazing noodle restaurant as well as a cool sushi train place. We loved this stay as it was a true Japanese experience, even though the weather wasn't as good as we hoped it would be. Also, make sure you rent the electric bikes as they are amazing!! Thanks for having us.

Amazing location, just a couple of minutes north of the bus stop. It was extremely clean, and set up well if you plan on heading up Mt. Fuji (which we didn't do). The lake is walkable, the area is very quiet, and the staff are super helpful as well. The room which we stayed in was a good size, and sleeping on the tatami mats with futons was a cool experience. We also had additional storage in the form of a closet. Bathrooms/showers are clean and plentiful and the overall atmosphere is very welcoming.

We loved our stay here. The host was awesome and the guesthouse is in an excellent location. So close to the train station!
The beds were Japanese style which are firmer than an Australian is used to but they were quite a bit softer than the mattress here at my next hotel, which is very upmarket and much more expensive. A bonus was the beautiful toiletries and hairdryer, which I didn’t expect to be available. And of course the surprise lite breakfast of toast and coffee. A great insite into home life in Japan.
Thankyou Wafu 😃

The house was very clean and felt like home. Very comfy and we were able to relax after the long days we had travelling.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
It was in a calm area and very, very quiet in a beautiful small community. The room was clean and exactly as advertised, including the view of Mount Fuji. The Guesthouse owner funny and very accomodating.
We are glad that our room has a good view of Mt. Fuji. Looking outside the window was the first thing I did in the morning.
The tatami room is spacious and clean.
Both the house and the environment are quiet and peaceful.
If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in the countryside yet want modern and luxurious furnishings, this is the place.
A beautiful and spotless house that feels new and is equipped with ample heating/air con, fancy coffee machine and oven, large TV, jacuzzi, etc.
I particularly enjoyed the quiet of the forest and fresh cool air while standing on the deck.
You definitely need a car, the house is pretty isolated.

The house is positively gorgeous, and could not have been cleaner! Once we got inside, we were welcomed with comfortable slippers. The hosts have thoughtful amenities such as epsom salts and essential oils, yukata on the beds, amazing coffee and tea set up. The views out of the back of the house are absolutely unmatched!!! With all of the fresh snowfall before our arrival, we didn't access the outdoor firepit, but it looked very welcoming, and we would love to return another time, when we are more prepared for the weather.
Amazing stay ! A 3rd of the price anywhere else around . Emi her father and mother were truly amazing hosts. Even gave me a lift to train station 🙂. Traditional Japanese Room , free coffee ! Amazing kitchen and english spoken! Best bath ever
The place is very cosy and peaceful. The hosts are wonderful, they were treating their guests like their own family, checking all the time if we needed anything and indulging us with cold tea and coffee. I also recommend the nearest onsen, especially in the evening when it' s not that hot.
The best place to stay in Saiko lake area. Papa and Mama San were amazing hosts. They treated us like family with plenty of tea, coffee and cake! Not to mention, their breakfast is amazing and worth the extra cost. The Japanese style rooms were beautiful and the whole place was cosy. There was an amazing onsen nearby too.
It felt like a home away from home, it’s very quaint with lovely views around. Mama and Papa always put the fire on to ensure it was warm. The futons were surprisingly very comfortable. Wonderful to have exceptional home cooked food made with love for breakfast, bonus points for catering to vegetarians. Onsen with insane mt fuji views 10 minute walk away (discount provided by hosts). Great conversations, such lovely people to be around!
