When you visit a new place it is always the people that make it memorable. Siracusa is really worth the visit and maybe more than the 2 days we spent, it is lovely to walk the streets of Ortigia without necessarily hitting all the “attractions”, just enjoying the sights under the warm Sicily sun on a January day; but what we will remember for sure from here is how lovely we felt at our accommodation. Clean white sheets, a sunny room, great shower pressure in the bathroom (nothing beats a hot powerful shower in the evening after walking all day) and a general modern feel to an otherwise old old building (fully renovated), and, on top of all these, the wonderful Simona and her motherly care for us. The breakfast was very varied and tasty and she had many tips for us in terms of what to do/what to see. We felt welcomed and had a general feeling of being home away from home.
Well located in Siracusa, Suites of the Royal Council provides an Italian breakfast and free WiFi. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay.

The triple room was large with a tiny balcony and clean.The hosts were responsive and helpful and helped us with information and in booking a taxi to the bus station and with our luggage.

The host was incredibly friendly, and the room was spotless (it smelled amazing!) and very spacious, with a fantastic bathroom and shower. The location is excellent—just a short walk to Ortigia.
If there’s one area for improvement, it’s the bed. At 1.86m tall, I found it a bit short, and the mattress had some indentations that affected comfort. The apartment can also be quite noisy, as sounds from the building carry easily.
Overall, though, it’s a wonderful place to stay!

Lucy, the owner, was a great host! She made sure we had a parking space outside the B&B and was welcoming and friendly. She gave us lots of helpful tips about places to visit and information about the local area. Breakfast was on an inner terrace and it was lovely to have our breakfast in the October sunshine. Located just 5 minutes walk from the bridges into Ortigia, the property is also in a good location for visiting the Archaeological Park in Siracusa (5 minutes walk away). The property is situated in an area that is full of life in the day but was very quiet and peaceful at night time.
Set in the centre of Siracusa, Casa 68 Ortigia is a recently renovated accommodation, which offers allergy-free rooms.

We enjoyed our stay at FeelGood apartment. Host was very nice and met us when we arrived. She was accommodating when we requested extra pillow, she came back same day with one. Responded quickly when we messaged. Great location, balcony overlooks very pretty lane way-street with many beautiful plants. Quiet area at night, decent size apartment, high ceilings, clean. Two balconies. Comfortable bed, good pillows and bath towels. Suggested some restaurants to try. Overall happy with apartment and would recommend it.
It was in a great location in Ortigia. Both Lisa and Mauro were great hosts and helped greatly with our bus tickets. I would highly recommend this accommodation when visiting Ortigia.
The room was nice and clean. It had everything we need. Claudio is a great host. He has a very cute dog :) you can park your car easily. It's a bit of walk to the city center but the location is calm and quiet.

Great location, ten minutes walk to Ortiza and 20 to archeological park. Restaurants and shops nearby.
Caterina is a great host, the place was very clean and with all you need for stay (even washing machine).
What is an extra advantage is a parking spot available next to the house as it is neither easy nor cheap to park around
