This place is extraordinary. It’s quiet, in the middle of nature with a beautiful view. The host Gabriele is amazing; he brought us local pastries for breakfast, local cheese to taste and fresh truffles from in the woods nearby!

We totally enjoyed our accommodation because it met and exceeded each of the items in the survey. Everything was top notch. The view of the castle morning, noon, night also provided a wonderful backdrop to our stay. Although this is named a B&B, it does not serve breakfast. There is access to a shared kitchen on the ground floor (our room was on the first floor). The room is fairly spacious but a small refrigerator in the room and a comfortable chair to sit in would have been nice. The bed was quite comfortable, and the bathroom, with shower was clean and functional, if small. The locatioin is in a residential area about 3-4 blocks from the old town center so fairly convenient. On-street parking was always available in front of the residence. The neighborhood was safe, and we had no qualms about walking through it to the town center. The owner called us in advance to arrange letting us in to our apartment on arrival, and seemed willing to be helpful for other issues, though we did not need other assistence. The apartment and building were clean and well-maintained. Sulmona is a quint old town and a great jumping-off point for day-trips into the mountains and to the coast of Abruzzo, and we enjoyed our stay there.
