Prestshús 2 Guesthouse, hotel in Vík

Prestshús 2 Guesthouse offers accommodations in Vík, a 12-minute walk from Reynisfjara Beach and 21 miles from Skogafoss Waterfall.

There wasn't a breakfast which was just fine because we had breakfast in town which is less than a five minute drive. The view from the property is breathtaking. There were lambs, a few friendly dogs and cats. Our rooms (we had two - one for parents and one for two teenagers) were perfect. We were on the second floor with a magnificent view. We had a 1/2 bath on that level and shared bath on the ground floor. The host is absolutely charming and met us upon arrival. We loved the experience of staying as a guest in a home but also felt that we had our own privacy. The drive in to the town of Vik takes less than five minutes and the food at the two restaurants we went to was top-notch. You build up an appetite hiking, horseback riding and having daylight until midnight so good food is important! We so enjoyed our stay.

Close to main town, and black sand beach. Breakfast 16 euros, we didn’t not eat. No coffee available before 8:00pm. A little disappointing since I have 8 hours to drive, & not much is open around 7:30am. Room is very clean, close to WC, that helps. Overall, place is good & comfortable.

There really wasn't a breakfast. They had food available for you to make your own breakfast. But but then you would have to clean it all up and that's not what "Breakfast included" has ever been anywhere I've ever been.

Fantastic quiet location short drive from Vik, Dyrholaey and Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach. I would give this hostel 5 stars! It doesn't look like a hostel at all. Beds in dormitory are big and comfortable, each with a curtain for privacy and blocking light. Nice kitchen, maybe could do with more cooking stoves. Showers and toilets are very modern and exceptionally clean!

I wasn't sure what a guesthouse would be like for a family (probably thinking of my solo travel in noisy hostel days!), but it was absolutely brilliant! Clean, bright, quiet, there was never a queue for toilets whilst we were there, either. My daughter especially loved the toy corner and chill-out space after a busy day exploring. Really easy to get around everywhere in Vik from the location as well.

We were staying at Vík Guesthouse because we were attending a wedding at Vik's church and everything was perfect. The Guesthouse is very nice and comfortable, the room was quiet and very spacious and clean. The breakfast was spectacular with some homemade bread. And the host is really nice. It is close to some of the area's interesting spots as the black sand beach and several waterfalls. You can also find a supermarket and a few restaurants at a walking distance.

We felt right at home in this beautiful guesthouse with a very kind, attentive host. The decor was fascinating and the kitchen facilities and bathroom had everything we needed and more. We particularly liked the Icelandic soaps, homemade jams and waffles! The place was in a great location for exploring the town.

Located in the middle of nowhere - still near Vik i Myrdal - the Volcano Hotel is lovely place to be! The hotel itself is special and charming, the environment is very quaint. The fact that you can enjoy the latter at any place of the hotel - especially during breakfast - is a big plus! Also the staff was really friendly and welcoming. In a nutshell: One of the best (and cheapest | out of eight) accommondations we had during our trip in Iceland.
