The kids loved to interact with the goats which was definitely the highlight at Skálatjörn. The room was basic and not too big but just right for what we paid for and what we needed for 2 nights. Quiet location. Helpful to have a kitchenette in the room. There was already some basic things in the kitchen such as oil and salt (not sure this is standard in every room though, but it was in ours).

I would definitely go there again. More beautiful than on the pictures, peaceful, good cooking area, nice places to chat whit other guests, clean, friendly owners, everything was good.

The hosts were wonderful. This is a beautiful farm house with 3 bedrooms and a shared common space. It was bright and clean with a beautiful view of the pastures and horses! It was a 10-15 minute drive from Selfoss and very close to many attractions.

Great location, very clean, excellent social area, inside was hotter than we ever imagined, great bathroom. Stayed in three different hotels during our trip to Iceland. This was the fist also cheapest. It set the bar really high. Oh yeah and it was really quiet as well.

Wow what a magical place! Away from everthing in a beautiful farm with vast green fields, this place a gem. Welcomed by the nicest host, the room was so cosy and charming with a perfect toilet and shower in the room, a kettle some tea and cups, and a little fridge. With a cafeteria nearby you can go to and enjoy. Great value for money!! Cant recommend this enough, just go there and enjoy.
The guesthouse is really nice, we have enjoyed the common area with a pool table. Moreover, the breakfast is affordable and you have a good selection of toast, marmelade, cereals, waffles as well as juices. Also great location, surrounded by horses.
