We booked out the two flats in one of the two houses and the experience was great: amazing view, clean rooms, toilets and showers, spacious kitchen. The host added an extra bed for us. Excellent value for your money if there are 8 or 9 of you.

The cottages were in the middle of the nature, ours was in a well finished nordic style and super clean. The kitchen in the cottage was just perfect provided with everything you may need to cook. Bathroom was tiny, but comfortable compared to the most of other cottages in Iceland. The parking zone outside was spacious.
Breakfast Is served in the main cottage, there's a lot of choice! It was my favourite place!

Nice place in a beautiful quiet setting, guesthouse was on the small side but more than adequate. Bed was comfortable and facilities were more than enough, full kitchen supplies. Owner was very friendly and helpful.

They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
