We were a family of 4, and have a double bed, separate bed for both tue kids. Although we arrived late and checked out early ä, we jaded a comfortable stay.
Best part of the stay was that we could see the northern lights from our hotel room even without leaving the room, a truly magical experience.
There is ample parking space, a kitchenette which you can use and also tea and coffee available at an any hour of the day

Nice and homely guesthouse in beautiful scenery, the best location to watch everything on south-eastern part of Iceland (Diamond Beach, Vatnajökull National Park, Vestrahorn etc.). Staff - Thora and her husband - is really-really friendly and helpful and they make amazing breakfast. Shared bathrooms are clean, and there is a kitchen for the staff but they let you use the microwave and the cutlery; there is a shared fridge too. You have a sink in your room.

Self check-in system is very convenient, so you can arrive late at night. The room sufficient for a short stay, one of the beds squeaky. Big decent kitchen shared by guests from the hostel and from a couple of cottages which make the place overcrowded at breakfast time, not to mention only one sink, one toster and too small fridge for so many people. Still, when there are free tables, it’s nice to sit there and watch the views as there are immense windows.
The room was very clean. The instructions provided by the hosts to access the room were perfect. It just needs a few tries until you master the door keypad. The view from our window was magnificent and the breakfast was good.
Rooms are bright, new and clean. Possibility to sit in the breakfast room is very good and there are also some amenities / equipment available 24/7. Location is close to ring road but still quiet when it comes to the surroundings.

Great nights stay here! Really friendly staff who let us use the big main kitchen in the hostel next door. The guesthouse has a microwave and kettle in the dining room which are also handy. There was a very tasty breakfast! We went on a very wet but extremely beautiful walk down to the beach in the evening!

The guesthouse is fully renovated. The facilities are top notch. It really feels like a hotel. They also offer the kitchen from the hostel uphill in case guests would like to use it. Breaskfast was delicious and the view is perfect.
