Lovely, peaceful setting on the lake. Fun watching the birds. The staff was always available if we needed anything. They arranged a tour of the backwaters for us. Early breakfast is toast and eggs, but if you wait until 9:00 you can get a Keralan breakfast. Also, you can have dinner delivered and eat on your verandah. A canoe is available for your use, but it was raining so we didn't use it.

We stayed at this guest house as a couple with our 3-year-old and ended up extending our stay from three to six nights because it was simply amazing.
The staff was incredible, very welcoming, attentive, and always going the extra mile. Despite our late arrival, they waited up for us, ensured we got food before the kitchen closed, and made us feel at home immediately.
Devon, one of the staff members, even gave me a ride to the pharmacy when my child developed a rash and went out of his way to bring back ice cream for her.
Location is a 2-minute walk to a quiet beach. The rooms were clean, spacious, with comfy beds and hot water. The pool was a perfect spot to relax in the afternoons.
The on-site restaurant offered delicious Indian and Western dishes, with the convenience of room service.
Everything was smooth and stress-free, thanks to Nijad, who helped us plan all our activities seamlessly.
The hospitality here is unmatched, and the value for money is excellent. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Varkala!

Accidentally found this property since it was a last minute booking, but really exceeds my expectations, host (Giri Kumar) was very helpful always, he bought us stuff to eat and was very humble. Booked as a treat. It was recommended by my guide book and I wanted a hotel rather than a hostel this time. Felt luxury and is something my parents and grandparents would have felt comfortable and relaxed in. Great location so easy to direct autos and get around cheaply.

The host is very responsive, kind and took excellent care of us.The boat ride to and from the homestay (not accessible via road) was beautiful! It's the perfect place for a quiet getaway among the backwaters. We were there for only a night but it was a very relaxing stay.
Spacious clean room, friendly and helpful staff and a great location. Walk able distance to most attractions and city center. The property is new and has a modern outlook. Definitely recommended for short stays.
