The accommodation is not directly in the first row, but you have seaview. My room was very modern and comfortably furnished. There is a small kitchenette. I stayed in room number six, the terrace here is brilliant because even when the wind is strong, there is no wind on the terrace and the sun protection means it can also be used during the day. Another tip: be sure to ask the very friendly landlord for a restaurant recommendation. The tip he gave me was absolutely delicious.

Pension Irene is a lovely place to stay in peaceful Sougia. The beach is a couple of minutes away, there’s a supermarket just over the road, and lots of lovely restaurants and bars on your doorstep. Our room was clean and spacious, and everyone was so kind and friendly. I hope to be back soon!

Quiet place, beautifully located in a small village in the countryside. Good place to relax but also as a base for discovering southwest Crete. Georgia and her staff are wonderful hosts. 2 min walk to authentic tavern with good food and great view of the valley.
Spacious room with sofa and table and chairs and nice size balcony. Nice views to the village and sea (from upper room). Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchenette. Welcoming staff. Although by the road, it is quiet as very limited traffic. It is one of the hotels furthest from the sea but it's only 5 mins walk on a quaint quiet road and the room is very well appointed with good Aircon. Nicely kept patio and garden areas. Welcome water and cake much appreciated. Would recommend.

Wanda is a great host and looks after the apartments well. We liked being a few km from the coast , great views, quiet and a cooling breeze. If you get a taxi to the top of the Agia Irini gorge you can walk back direct to Spiti Mas. Not too far away (about 30 metres) is a lovely restaurant serving proper Cretan food with a smile.
The apartment was exceptionally clean, with great facilities. Our host was very welcoming and friendly. The homemade biscuits and bottle of wine waiting for us were a lovely surprise! Great location as it's extremely quiet without noise from any restaurants/bars or other accommodation, and you're only 2 minutes walk from the beach.

If you are looking for super luxury this is not the place for you but Pension Irene is charming, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well located. The host is so kind and an absolute delight. Sea view rooms look over the side street and down to the beach- the balcony is a great place to sit

Comfortable, quiet and clean hotel. The host, Markos, is very friendly, helpful and full of advice about the surrounding area. Sougia is a beautiful town, perfect if you want a peaceful stay enjoying the sea, good food and some hiking!
Sougia is very nice village. The pension has very good location - close to beach, shops, restaurants and at the same time quiet place. We appreciate hosts kindness and hospitality.
