This beautiful old home is right in the middle of Wales. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. They really thought of everything you could possibly want or need for a wonderful stay. Their yummy breakfast and lovely dining room exceeded all expectations and they even had some amazing gluten free options for our friend who needed them. We couldn’t have been happier with our visit.
You can even schedule ahead to use their EV charger.

The owners were exceptional. We came in soaking wet from being on the trail all day. The owners whipped away all our wet gear and dried it for us. Food was great, beds comfortable etc, etc

If you want a busy town-based stay, forget it. If you want a holiday break from it all, this is the place to be. With its surrounding fields, horses and sheep, the location is amazingly peaceful, yet just a short ten-minute walk to the small town’s amenities. The host's John and Berni make the stay memorable, and so friendly with their tales of the area and anecdotes. John is genuinely interested in your stay and is forever open to pointing out some of the hidden local points of interest you’d never have found. The room was extremely clean, the breakfast fresh and home-cooked, including the bread and jams. I very much hope to return someday.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Great location with stunning views from our room.
Excellent breakfast, cooked to order with great quality ingredients
Warm welcome from host, who offered recommendations on places to eat and the need to book in advance. Glad we did, as pub was very busy.
On road parking, no problem on this quiet area of town

The Horseshoe is a very comfortable guesthouse on a quiet back street with good access to central Rhayader. The host, Paul, is very helpful and easy going and had a lot of local knowledge of cycle trails which was an unexpected bonus for us.
Breakfast was delicious fresh fruit and tasty full breakfast with local produce. Great location fab views and quiet. Large garden to sit out and enjoy once the weather improves Great large bedroom comfy bed and taseful furnishings. Hosts were fun welcoming and can't wait to return. Lovely Birthday treat, just wish we'd booked two nights away.
Spotless, extremely comfortable bed, shower excellent ,hosts very helpful and friendly. The ground floor apartment during the current heatwave was remarkably cool so welcoming.
Couldn’t fault the apartment (and I admit am hard to please) quiet, spacious, all facilities you require and a great location.
A credit to the hard working owners.
We had an amazing time, great location with plenty to do nearby. We were a group of 10 plus an under 1 and a dog, so had a 2 bed and the 3 bed, which was huge! Perfect place for all the family to socialise in. Sarah was a great host, thank you we had a great time. We will definitely be booking again soon.
