Smooth self-check-in, and it was very kind of the hosts to supply milk and washing tabs as well. The rooms are bright and airy and I had a nice sleep in the comfy clean beds. Communication with the hosts was great as well. I've stayed here a few times and it's a great location being ten minutes from Reading city centre where there are plenty of shops and restaurants and places to walk.

Free parking and great location. 10 min walk to town. It's very quiet and the beds are very comfty. It's a little worn in places but for what your pay you can't expect loads. We wanted a base for a few days easy on and off-road cycling around the the Chilterns and the Thames. This was the perfect location. The New Inn is a very pleasant combination of a country pub and a 'boutique' style hotel, on a quiet lane. We were made to feel very welcome and the host, Dora, upgraded us to a larger room on arrival. The food from the sensibly small menu was excellent - we ate there on all 3 evenings.
