Newton House Oxford, hotel in Oxford

The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The facilities were great and the staff went above and beyond. The house is close to a few nice cafes and restaurants, and only a short drive to everything else we wanted and needed. There is a corner store downstairs that stocks all the essentials which is excellent.

Marlborough House - Guest House, hotel in Oxford

The Marlborough House - Guest House is situated approximately 2 miles from the city centre and just half a mile from the buzzing and lively area of Summertown in North Oxford.

Location was great as on a road going straight to the city centre with a bus stop just across the street. Anita was wonderful, trying to help me find my way to the house as finding the right bus and the right bus stop got challenging. Room had a window to the side road and you could hear a car passing once in a while, but other than that, it was very quiet, I slept wonderfully. Even if the room was small, there were lots of cupboards and a wardrobe with a full size mirror, a desk, a hair dryer, a small fridge, so I found it had everything I needed for my stay.

This is a great place to stay in Oxford- we loved it , in spite of some of the issues we experienced. Excellent location . Very central but also quiet . Very high spec furnishings and fittings . Loved the old features alongside modern touches eg usb chargers , great lighting .

Oxford Guest House, hotel in Oxford

A 15-minute drive from the centre of the city, Oxford Guest House provides stylish accommodation in Headington.

It had a twin room with a walk in shower on the ground floor. There was a big fan in the room as we were travelling in summer. The beds were comfortable. The owners were very accommodating and allowed me to sit in the breakfast room and watch the Olympics while I waited for my friend to come back from sightseeing before we left. Very convenient for buses into Oxford for sightseeing.

Great location, clean building, great hosts, very friendly. Breakfast was good but the Indian menu at dinner was fantastic. They still had English Pub fare too!

Host very welcoming and friendly. I was able to use an off road parking space in front of the guest house. On a good bus route to city centre, Good selection of toast and cereal for breakfast. Room clean and comfortable with plenty of hot water. I was in a very quiet room at the back of the house.

Lovely house in a quiet neighbourhood with a great host. I spend two weeks with Melody and I really felt at home. With the busses it‘s quite fast to reach the city centre (especially if you‘re used to living in bigger cities) or — if you feel sporty — you can walk a 45 minutes through the fields of port meadow among the oxen’s. I really liked it!

Excellent location. Short walk into Oxford and for the New Theatre. Staff were great hosts. Food was excellent. Quiet location - we've stayed in central Oxford before and it can be very noisy (sirens and revellers). This was ideal. Lovely old building. Room was clean, comfortable and great location - short walk into the city centre and all the sight seeing you want.

Very nice studio in a great location. The studio was clean and very comfortable, during the night it was very quiet even though it is rather close to a busy road. It is within walking distance of the city centre. Overall it had a very high standard for Oxford accommodation and great value for money. Friendly and very helpful host! We would definitely stay here again.

Great location: easy walking distance to the city centre, but in a quiet residential area. Andrew (the host) was terrific to us-- helpful and understanding--and he even went out of his way to get us complimentary tickets to the football match! The apartment was spacious and comfortable with plenty of light.
