The room was very spacious and the bathroom was spotless. Having access to the kitchen facilities was very nice. The bed was comfy, but if you're 6+ feet it may be a bit small lengthwise, other than that, this was a great stay within walking distance to pretty much everywhere in Wick and was a great value. Robert was amazing and was able to accommodate us after we had some flight issues. Would highly recommend.

NC500 without the hassle. Outstanding personalized breakfast with locally caught, fresh fish option (so much for boring Scottish breakfast). Extremely nice and quiet rooms (there are only 2). Access to fridge, extremely pleasant hosts, very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. We were in Scotland for 3 weeks and this was one of the nicest, most pleasant, and comfortable BnB's we stayed in. HIGHLY recommended as is Helmsdale, great little town. Quiet with plenty to do, Telford Bridge, Telford Church, awesome sea bird watching opportunities nearby, fantastic access to the NC500 destinations. There is even a local volunteer run 9 hole golf course that we thoroughly enjoyed. Access to the entire area of the NC500 is very easy from Helmsdale without the traffic, noise and hassle of being on the route.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
A fantastic stay, very friendly hosts and stunning building with well tended surroundings. We stayed one night but would gladly have stayed much longer.
Would also recommend the breakfast, very filling and much needed ahead of a long journey.
The staff was welcoming. Loved the quietness and nature around the place. Plenty of places to walk around. We had our dog, didn't have any issues taking her out. We had a guest lounge to sit and relax and have coffee. My daughter found the bed was comfy. Good size room.
Great location and amazingly friendly hosts who upgraded us to a ensuite room on arrival. Made myself and my partner very welcome and the cafe and shop are well worth a visit in the morning for a good breakfast and some lovely gifts and stock in the shop. Would return in a heartbeat.
