We arrived quite late, and the owner was very accommodating and helpful. The room was big and very comfortable. Despite being on what appears to be a main road, it was very quiet the breakfast in the cafe was absolutely delicious. A wonderful setting.

Breakfast was as good and delicious as if cooked by TV Masterchef, lots of choice, on time and hot. Stupendous. Beautiful house, 100% comfort, peace , quiet, tranquillity. Lovely outside terraces and gardens. Hosts made me feel home away from home. Nothing was too much trouble. Near railway for trips to Edinburgh centre rather than drive. Easy parking

Lovely staff, fantastic location and very cosy room. Tasty breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
A later breakfast time would be nice but I am 100% that would have been accommodated if asked as the owner was lovely and very willing to help.

They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Top quality bed and breakfast accommodation, great facilities, friendly welcoming hosts. Plenty of choice for breakfast & the kitchenette, TV games room annex a bonus, especially as we watched the Euros. Highly recommended.
Excellent location in a quiet side street with a very good cafe on the corner, take-aways, restaurants and a supermarket in the next street and a very short walk to a good pub and the shops. Extremely helpful hosts. There are 18 electrical sockets in the bed/sitting room!
Graham was a very welcoming, friendly and attentive host. Bellevue Guest House is conveniently situated just a short stroll away from Kelso town centre. There is private parking behind the house. The rooms were very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The breakfast was outstanding, using local produce, and by far the best I've ever had. We can't wait to go back again.
Very friendly lovely hosts, made us feel at home! Was very clean and homely, and they couldn’t have done more to make it a pleasant stay! Private and quiet space, with off street parking, cannot fault it!
