Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Absolutely loved everything about our stay. Incredible breakfast - I'm vegetarian and usually feel 'left out' but the menu changed daily - I still dream of the fluffy pancakes! Gorgeous garden. Beautiful room and easy to walk to Exford if you chose to. Great location in Exmoor. Perfect hosts. The list could go on...

A lovely peaceful location with great access to Exmoor and the surrounding towns, villages and coastline. Very nice room, well furnished with a very comfy bed. First class choice of breakfast, nicely cooked to order. Great hosts who were very welcoming.

Stunning house, beautifully and stylishly decorated. Great location on edge of village, very quiet. Large and comfortable room, well heated and equipped.
Delicious homemade flapjacks and excellent breakfast.
Cosy and welcoming, Simon and Penny were great hosts. Lovely fireplace. Well decorated and spotlessly clean all round. Great tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Excellent breakfast each morning.
The hosts always make us welcome. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The location is lovely and quiet and central to the Exmoor Park. The breakfasts are absolutely delicious with plenty to choose from (especially as I'm on a dairy and gluten free diet). Overall a very relaxing and pleasurable stay.
