Beds are very comfortable and rooms are well equipped with tea/coffee, towels and cookies (very tasty!)
Breakfast was very nice, well cooked and prepared for us. Additional homemade jams and granola are also lovely. Plenty of room in the bedroom for both of us to get ready for a wedding we were attending. The shower was great and the bathroom was very clean.

Everything very clean and well presented. I had the small double which suited me as a solo traveller. It had its own ensuite shower. All scrupulously clean.
Only slight drawback was that it was up 2 flights of rather steep stairs.. but there was a fridge on the landing for milk for tea and coffee which helped.
There was street parking outside initially and then once I had deposited my suitcase etc I was given a parking permit and took the car round to the Theatre car park. Plenty of room there. Walk back took about 4 minutes.
Breakfast was excellent..proper poached eggs! And gluten free toast. All very nice. Would stay again if travelling this way.

The bedroom and bathroom were exceptionally clean. Spotless in fact.
There were double kitkats and bottles of water, every type of tea and coffee and a beautiful view out of the bedroom window.
Breakfast was superb with fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries and raspberries), cereals, fruit juice, croissant, toast and a beautifully cooked full English breakfast.

A really nice atmosphere in a historic old building, and the staff went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. The breakfast was delicious and filling. The location on the high street is very convenient to all that Brecon has to offer.

When we first got there, I was very surprised. It's basically a residence, and they let out rooms, not like other B&Bs I've been to. But the owners are so lovely and welcoming, and really wanted us to be comfortable. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and clean, and the town is wonderful. Would 100% stay there again.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The bedroom was beautifully furnished with a private bathroom with a clawfoot bath. It was incredibly quiet and peaceful. The owners were approachable and very helpful. Good breakfast range. I particularly enjoyed the quality of the fresh fruit, bread and welsh cakes and quality local produce. Nice touch to have a cafetiere in the bedroom with fresh coffee and a jar of cookies. There are nice communal spaces downstairs for those staying to use.
Beautiful house with wonderful hosts and a fantastic breakfast.
The room was large and had everything you needed for an overnight stay. The bed was very comfortable and the bath was luxurious. A quiet oasis.
Room was fine; breakfast was excellent and the guesthouse is in a lovely location. Hosts were very attentive and encouraged interaction and the sharing and giving of views on current cultural and political topics.
Everything was perfect, starting with the wonderful Georgian house with modern accents and ending with the somptuous breakfast! Stephen & Rebecca are great hosts, we look forward to coming back soon to their heavenly place!
Steven and Rebecca are such charming hosts, friendly and informative. Superb quality to include furnishings, bed comfort and breakfasts were amazing with such a personal touch. Loved hearing about your family history and what a small world! Perfect base to celebrate Mum’s surprise 90th birthday 🎈
Superb property, finished to a great standard in a quiet and tranquil location. Anne and Kevin were great hosts, friendly and welcoming, but not intrusive. A brilliant find!
A beautiful georgian house in the centre of Clyro which has been newly renovated. The room was lovely, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Stephen was a great host who cooked a very delicious breakfast. We can highly recommend Baskerville House and would stay again.
Charming hosts of an elegant house beautifully decorated, comfortable and well appointed - it has the wow factor. It's situated in Clyro, a quiet, quaint village roughly 20 minutes walk away from Hay-on-Wye. Breakfast was a delight, and they served a tasty vegetarian, gluten-free breakfast for my daughter.
Great location, quiet, superb breakfast, very attentive hosts.
