Great location for Dumfries About 10 min walk. The property is attached to a house and was immaculately kept. Very spacious room.
You had to walk or drive about 1/3mile for breakfast at its sister hotel but it was well worth it. The staff at the Caledonian hotel were excellent as was the breakfast. Very comfy, big bed.
A 2-minute walk from Dumfries Train Station, Aberdour Guest House offers bed and breakfast close to the town centre, with its own bar and function facilities.

It was in a beautiful location, set on a remote farm in Dumfries & Galloway. The bed was comfy & the host was so lovely, allowing us to purchase eggs from their hens & use their phone for wifi access. The hosts are fairly new to renting out the cottage but I’m sure it’ll be a great place for future guests!
Hotel is secluded and peaceful - great for a quiet getaway. Food is superb as always, plenty of thought put in to the menus and standard of cooking and presentation is excellent.
My daughter liked the DVD selection and Netflix. She also liked the room key!
