Breakfast was excellent and we had a really comfortable stay. The host went out of his way to provide us with a shower mat as we felt unsafe in the shower.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
This is an absolutely beautiful property, exceptionally clean with everything you need. The hosts are attentive and allowed us to stay with our very well behaved dog. The space and quality of accommodation we had was exceptional value for money and we had a very pleasant stay.
Very comfortable well equiped. Location perfect, quiet but in the middle of Chinley. Chinley is charming and a wonderful base to explore the High Peaks.
Quiet location, fully equipped Apartment with very comfortable beds.
Host very informative with my few queries prior to arrival, prompt to respond, thank you.
Walked to recommended restaurant 👌🏻 and village walking distance too.
Cozy like home, authentic vintage cottage with a lot of cute things, quiet garden. Beds and pillows are suitable with warm blankets. Great location with hills and routs for hiking, two good restaurants near cottage and local grocery store.
Redmond’s Retreat was a lovely, welcoming and quaint property that delivered all it promised. A great location nestled in a quiet area yet a stones throw from all the wonders of the Peak District.
Simply the nicest traditional pub we have stayed in. Fiona, who owns the pub, and her daughter Charlotte were great hosts - friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome. The chef (Elvis) produced delicious food. We wanted to try everything on the menu. Good wine list and draught beer too. Well appointed bedrooms and very nice public spaces with a log fire on the chillier days. Great views from the footpath beside the pub of the surrounding countryside. A lovely, relaxing stay. Would love to return.
The location was wonderful for the views and the quietness, great for walking with or without dogs, and keeps you fit so you can eat what you like while away😁😁,our host Barbara to the property came to meet us on the due to our crap nave saying we had reached our destination,we came when there was a lot of snow on our last day, which was something my husband had not experienced before, but we(me hubby n four legged fur ball Bleu)have been a snug as a bug, thankyou for lots of memories,oh and tea on the green café was great too x
Completely relaxed after a stress free weekend here. Personal welcome by gracious hosts. Lovely private & quiet setting. Hill views in both directions. Chippy & local store 30 second walk away. Well equipped kitchen, & well proportioned clean rooms. The terrace, log burner + hotel quality bedsheets put the cherry on top. We felt far away from city life, yet only 30 mins from home.
