Myself and my partner came to celebrate his birthday and we can not get over how wonderful and peaceful everything was. We cannot thank you enough! It is truly one of the most beautiful places and the apartment was stunning and so so comfortable! I’m someone that suffers from insomnia and I slept better than ever! The breakfast was delicious and the view we got to see whilst eating it was even better! Dawn and Jonathan are amazing and lovely hosts and ensured we had everything we could need and more. Needless to say, we’re already planning another visit!!

Oakfield Lodge Guest House Stockport, hotel in Marple

A 5-minute walk from Marple Rail Station, this Victorian guest house has a spacious garden and picturesque views of the town.

The breakfast was great. The room was a little small and cold when we arrived. The showers didn't work as well as in some B&Bs we've stayed in. They were a bit 1980s. Some of the staff were friendly.

This is an absolutely beautiful property, exceptionally clean with everything you need. The hosts are attentive and allowed us to stay with our very well behaved dog. The space and quality of accommodation we had was exceptional value for money and we had a very pleasant stay.

Simply the nicest traditional pub we have stayed in. Fiona, who owns the pub, and her daughter Charlotte were great hosts - friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome. The chef (Elvis) produced delicious food. We wanted to try everything on the menu. Good wine list and draught beer too. Well appointed bedrooms and very nice public spaces with a log fire on the chillier days. Great views from the footpath beside the pub of the surrounding countryside. A lovely, relaxing stay. Would love to return.

Completely relaxed after a stress free weekend here. Personal welcome by gracious hosts. Lovely private & quiet setting. Hill views in both directions. Chippy & local store 30 second walk away. Well equipped kitchen, & well proportioned clean rooms. The terrace, log burner + hotel quality bedsheets put the cherry on top. We felt far away from city life, yet only 30 mins from home.
