Basic hotel but very comfortable.
Convenient location for someone like myself travelling by train - main station just 5 minutes walk away.
Friendly and attentive staff.
I had a reasonably priced, excellent continental breakfast each morning. ( but for those who like a full English, that would have been available at their sister hotel, the Revado, a few doors further up the street )
This was my first visit to Norwich ( doing some family history research ) and a good hotel made it a special experience

Stayed here for my partner's getaway birthday, the linen was clean and comfortable beds with hot water in bathrooms throughout. We enjoyed the canoeing that Shayne's son took us through. We were also allowed late checkout and managed to have a very good rest. Will definitely come again. Quite lovely location with lots of parking space.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
A warm welcome, with lovely homemade bread and some essentials. It was lovely and quiet, being able to sit in the courtyard was a bonus at the end of long days sightseeing.
Quiet location, beautiful garden, friendly and welcoming host. Great location for days out and ideal location for public transport. Lovely personal welcoming touches from Rory! Handbook was a wonderful touch
A great little hideaway, perfect for our weekend stay with our dog. Nice quiet residential area, some lovely personal touches from our host Rory and no hassles, good comms and information.
The bungalow was very cosy clean and quiet. We are regular visitors to the Buttery as we always feel relaxed and Rory is a very good host who provides some nice extras including home made bread milk orange juice jam butter and beverages.
The owner, Rory, has tried to think of everything a traveler might need for a short stay. Very warm in the depths of winter. comfortable bed. For the price, it was excellent value, and Rory was a charming host.
Everything! Rory is a great host, very helpful and accommodating even when we arrived late in the evening due to a bus delay. Great facilities with all the little details thought about to make the stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Lots of really good local and county wide information in a booklet and leaflet basket, with good local amenities too. We used public transport and walked to the local nature reserves which were all very accessible from here.
Quiet self contained b and b with a lovely courtyard. The facilities are superb and the location is perfect for exploring Norfolk and venturing into the fine city of Norwich. Rory is a friendly but non intrusive host who has given much attention to detail.
