Great communication with Christine, the owner who gave lots of info. Breakfast was superb. Rooms were lovely & clean, the B&B is in a very old building so has some really interesting quirky bits to it. Made a lovely change from a Premier/Holiday Inns!

Central location. Warm rooms. Comfy beds. Cosy atmosphere in bar/restaurant. I would stay again if it was a cheap enough deal.

Black Mountain Lodge, hotel in Brecon

This lovely, old stone building is at the foothills of the Black Mountains amid beautiful countryside and views of the Brecon Beacons. It has a restful feel, comfortable rooms and a free Wi-Fi zone.

We booked this property very last minute, (due to booking with another property and choosing a room with a bath, on arrival, they couldn’t offer us that and we had a refund). We arrived within 5-10 mins of booking and we were met with a friendly wave from someone in a car, in passing. On arrival we were absolutely stunned by the beauty of this property, including a gigantic Christmas tree in the middle of the courtyard that was lit up superbly! We had been left a key with our name on and an envelope with some info too. Heading towards our room was such a good first impression and the room was absolutely beautiful! The bath had a jacuzzi too and I could have cried I was so happy! 🤣 It snowed heavily the night we stayed which made it so magical, due to this, breakfast was prepared, cooked and served by one lady and she did a tremendous job. A really lovely stay and we would definitely return!

Great location, very comfortable, easy secure parking for motorcycles, very motorcycle friendly. Very comfortable beds, quiet location but a few minutes walk to the heart of town. The 'star of the show' is Gail the host who greets you with a warm smile every day and made our stay so enjoyable. Gail is also a great cook and puts together a delicious breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble.

Pete the host was friendly and offered a good recommendation about where to eat in the evening. My room was in the house next door. There wern't any other guests and so it was lovely and quiet. I could see the ample off road parking spaces from the bedroom window. Lovely vegitarian breakfast of fresh fruit, cerials, fruit juice and poached egg on toasted bread.

We had a lovely stay at The Draen! The area is very quiet and picturesque, all we could hear were the birds. We stayed in the Rose suite, so we had our own, very charming living-room. Hearty, generous traditional breakfast and very spacious and comfy bedroom as well. Sue, the host was lovely and gave us useful tips about the local area. Overall a very enjoyable, and relaxing stay.
