Central location. Warm rooms. Comfy beds. Cosy atmosphere in bar/restaurant. I would stay again if it was a cheap enough deal.

We booked this property very last minute, (due to booking with another property and choosing a room with a bath, on arrival, they couldn’t offer us that and we had a refund). We arrived within 5-10 mins of booking and we were met with a friendly wave from someone in a car, in passing. On arrival we were absolutely stunned by the beauty of this property, including a gigantic Christmas tree in the middle of the courtyard that was lit up superbly! We had been left a key with our name on and an envelope with some info too. Heading towards our room was such a good first impression and the room was absolutely beautiful! The bath had a jacuzzi too and I could have cried I was so happy! 🤣
It snowed heavily the night we stayed which made it so magical, due to this, breakfast was prepared, cooked and served by one lady and she did a tremendous job. A really lovely stay and we would definitely return!

Rebecca and Stephen were perfect hosts, very friendly and attentive. The house was absolutely beautiful, just perfect. And the breakfast was one of the best I've ever had when away. I can't wait to be back again.

Communications, flexibility, very accommodating, friendly.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Great location, very comfortable, easy secure parking for motorcycles, very motorcycle friendly. Very comfortable beds, quiet location but a few minutes walk to the heart of town. The 'star of the show' is Gail the host who greets you with a warm smile every day and made our stay so enjoyable. Gail is also a great cook and puts together a delicious breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble.
Lovely bed and breakfast, hosts were very friendly and helpful, very comfortable beds and a really good choice of cereals at breakfast, about 10 minutes walk into the town centre and a great little pub 3 doors away that serve excellent food, this is our second visit to this guesthouse and won't be our last.
Pete the host was friendly and offered a good recommendation about where to eat in the evening. My room was in the house next door. There wern't any other guests and so it was lovely and quiet. I could see the ample off road parking spaces from the bedroom window. Lovely vegitarian breakfast of fresh fruit, cerials, fruit juice and poached egg on toasted bread.
We loved everything! Chrissy is a great host. The location is fantastic and everything about the guesthouse exceeded our expectations. The room was well equipped and very clean. Breakfast was yummy.
Peaceful quiet location, lovely clean facilities. Fab hot tub balcony and bbq. Great hosts, really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Loved our stay and will be back!
Great location, great room and Edward was a great host. This was exactly what I was looking for, for a trip to the Brecons. Would definitely recommend and will book again
We had a lovely stay at The Draen! The area is very quiet and picturesque, all we could hear were the birds. We stayed in the Rose suite, so we had our own, very charming living-room. Hearty, generous traditional breakfast and very spacious and comfy bedroom as well. Sue, the host was lovely and gave us useful tips about the local area. Overall a very enjoyable, and relaxing stay.
