Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Nice clean room. Comfortable bed.
Really good to have a large shower, nice to feel tha there is plenty of space.
WiFi was fast too.
Quiet too.
No faults, loved the place
Host was communicated well with me and helpful when checking out.
Great location with pubs and other shops in walking distance. Friendly host, it was easy to reach them with questions about how to get to the island and we received useful tips.
Lovely place located at the heart of Bowmore. Our room had a view over the sea on the top floor. Very quiet. Had a delicious breakfast (included) at the hotel next door, which was set up by our host prior to our arrival. Easy check in and check out.
Jim and Caroline were wonderful hosts and made our stay comfortable, relaxing and very special for our friends reunion. Having the guest house to ourselves (separate to their home) was great as we did get a little noisy and they have made the house really cosy. The breakfasts they cooked each morning were fab with a great variety on offer. Our hosts provided a great introduction to Islay which really helped us plan and maximize our stay. Nothing but great things to say about such lovely people and their beautiful home.
This is in a great location in the centre of Bowmore. it’s easy and free to park on the road right outside. The decor is fresh and modern and has been done to a high standard. There are lots of nice little touches to make it special. it’s more private than a b&b and very peaceful and quiet. The king size bed is super comfy. The host is also friendly and helpful.
