The Wayside & Whisky Barn ticked all the boxes. First class service, super comfortable beds, a beautiful roaring log fire in our bedroom and of course an amazing selection of over 150 whiskies.
Not forgetting the delicious breakfasts with fresh home baked breads, plus we had a fantastic 3 course meal followed by Irish coffees on the Saturday night, total perfection. We will definitely be back soon.

Sherry and Lauren are fantastic hosts who go above and beyond to make their guests feel safe and welcome. I have a food allergy (egg) and to make my breakfast look a little less empty they replaced my egg with extra sausages and bacon!
Rooms are comfortable and warm with private toilets and showers and the location is only a short walk from the town center. My room came with a refrigerator so I could store drinks and medicine in a cold environment, tea and coffee facilities, and plenty of towels, soap and shower gel. On a few other stays the room I was staying in had a microwave as well, so if I felt like having a lazy day with a microwave meal or reheating a coffee, I could :)

Great location next to the city center. The room has everything you need: iron, extra towels, and toothbrush. If you forget anything, just ask, and they'll provide it. Free parking is available next to the hotel.

Fantastic property in a great central location. Tobi is a great host who gave us more than enough information about the property and surrounding areas. Netflix and WiFi were a great touch.
Keys were a easy and safe pick up, house was perfectly tidy and bigger than expected. Plenty of room for the whole family.

I have just stayed a week at this guest house. Everything was fine. I have no complaints whatsoever. The hosts are charming, the place is spotlessly clean, it is 5 minutes from Barrow Rail Station. It is a grand old Victorian house. It has a nice vibe about it.
